Pick The USC-Colorado Score

With a 9 a.m. kickoff, it’s early score prediction time.

For the sake of the nation, it would be great to see a high-scoring back-and-forth game.

But . . . I don’t think Colorado can protect the QB. Oregon exposed Colorado’s offensive line. I’m wondering if Deion Sanders went more for speed and less for Big Boys in the transfer portal. I suspect Colorado will get worn down.

The one caveat is the way Alex Grinch’s defenses have a way of keeping games close.

I’m taking USC, 48-24.

  1. The great thing about the early start time is, we don’t have to wait for an earlier game to end and then break into the SC game, mid first quarter with a touchdown or two already missed by the viewer.

  3. 55 – 17. No Travis Hunter or Shilo Sanders. Receivers are going to run wild and then the run game will truly look extraordinary for USC. If Grinch has any sense, he will have the defensive backfield play Colorado the same way Oregon played them (which was extremely grabbing) and force them towards the middle of the field for turnovers galore.

  7. USC wins 56 to 20.

    Colorado’s defense is horrible. USC should follow Oregon’s game plan and run up the middle of Colorado’s defense. Floyd should have 125 yards in this game with 90 coming in the first half. USC will have at least 5 sacks and 2 interceptions but Grinch’s defense will continue to give up big plays.

    Scott Wolf, I would like to point out your lack of professionalism and integrity as a sports journalist. My background is in the IT field and am familiar with WordPress architecture. After ghosting your blog several times something odd came to my attention. A person who often replies under the username “Cowardly Gabby” (too many characters to list the entire name) is replying with “embedded posts” lifted from Twitter accounts. Here’s the problem with that, only the administrator/ owner of this website would have access to “developer t00ls” that could permit these types of posts to come through without being flagged for moderation.

    The person in question is replying with “embedded posts” one after another, often only one to two minutes apart. If I try to post a reply with an “embedded post”, from Twitter, in the comment box it would trigger the “waiting for moderation” dialog. It’s obvious this person’s replies are not being flagged for moderation.

    You have just been exposed for engaging in some really despicable behavior. I will be sure to let the other sites I frequent know the type of behavior taking place here

  10. 56-14 USC, LR this is put up or shut up for Grinchy! Your defense is pressuring at 48% clip on non blitzing. Stay true to the analytics. Don’t over committ 3 rushers to one side please. Follow a basic game plan they are not that good up-front. LR run to set up the pass, wear them down in the 1st half, then go pass crazy to get Caleb the numbers. Remember we are playing in high altitude.

  12. The Pacific Northwest schools (OR, OR St., WA and WA St.) plus USC are the Pac-5 this year – all capable of going deep save for facing one another. UT looks hapless against OR St. down 21 – 0 4th qtr..

    CO has no running game with their star RB out and USC has a gfreat defensive line as well as LBs

  14. We cannot allow CU to dink n dunk down the field on their opening drive. This is a very early morning game, we must conserve our oxygen, rotations are key to start off. Our conditioning will be tested all game. What CO will do is try to exploit our weakness tackling in space. That’s why we must stay discipline and make sure the first man tackles the ball carrier or it will be a typical Grinchy coached game. I hope I’m wrong.

In order to mess with Shedeur’s head & keep their fans outta the game, it’d be nice if Grinch’s aggressive defense stopped Colorado’s first couple of drives with big, punishing sacks. Deion Sanders knows how to keep his outmanned team pumped if they’re having early success….but….his high energy, rah-rah style of coaching goes down the toilet if the Buffaloes, particularly their quarterback, get pushed around & beat up early —the way they did in Oregon.
      [This game has the potential of being an absolute rout … the Buffs have the worst d-line AND the worst o-line in the Pac 12]…
