USC Notes: More On Lincoln Riley’s Parking Spot

You know how Lincoln Riley said in his interview with Graham Bensinger he had his parking spot moved closer to the McKay Center because he needed to save time every week to spend with his family?

Well, I looked into it and was told Riley actually had his spot moved twice because of complaints about the location. And keep in mind he has a guy who works at USC as his driver, so he can get dropped off and picked up right outside his office every day.

Riley originally parked near the dental school, didn’t like it, was moved to Heritage Hall, didn’t like it and then given a spot right by the McKay Center. Sounds a little high maintenance.

  • LeBron James said Bronny, who suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball workout this summer, is doing “extremely well” after having surgery and hopes to play at USC at some point this season.

“Bronny is doing extremely well,” James said. “He has begun his rehab process to get back on the floor this season with his teammates at USC. (With) the successful surgery that he had, he’s on the up-and-up. It’s definitely a whirlwind, a lot of emotions for our family this summer. But the best thing we have is each other.”

  • Colorado cannot stay out of the news.

  1. Again, my concern is accountability. The white elephant in the room is the poor defense. Will it ever get to the point where the AD directs Riley to dump Grinch?

      1. ‘Ol Mule Shoe isn’t winning a PAC 12 title let alone a CFP title

Hell, he’ll be lucky to win a Clay Helton City Title

      2. It’s going to be tough to make the playoffs this year with only 4 teams being chosen. This is what ESPN said about SC and their remaining schedule…….”Tough slate for Trojans: No team in the country has a harder remaining strength of schedule than USC, per FPI. That’s why it’s down at just a 19% chance to reach the playoff despite a 5-0 start and potential Heisman candidate at QB”. ESPN is giving SC a 19% chance of making the playoffs. That sounds about right to me.

Let’s see what LR decides to do to rectify this defensive problem. At the end of last year I think that he felt that Alex Grinch was a good DC but he just needed more depth on the D-Line. I don’t think that he has any of those illusions anymore.I think he sees the writing on the wall….namely that we’re never going to have a good defense as long as Grinch is running it. All of the football pundants are telling him that. Paul Finebaum recently said “USC will not make the playoffs this year…their defense is a fraud”.
You could make an argument that this years defense is actually worst than last year. Last year the defense finished 106th in the nation as far as yards given up per game. But that was for a whole season(tough games and easier games). This year, so far, we are 103rd in the nation but we haven’t really hit the tough games yet. We have all kinds of new good players this year and yet we don’t seem to be any better on defense, if not worst. LR is a good coach. Let’s see what he does.

      3. I find it hard to believe that Grench will be back next year. The defense is 103rd in yards per game given up. If they are having this much trouble in the soft part of the schedule, what will happen when they come up against the big boys? They’ll have somebody new next year but the thing is that they missed a real chance to win the NC in Calebs last year because he brought Grench back this year

      4. Look, all of you can forget about this team making it to the CFP, that is not going to happen. USC is not beating Washington, Oregon or Notre Dame. Utah looks only average so that game is a toss up now that you get a better look at them.

Arizona is going to be tough same with Cal.

One thing for sure is that Grinch may survive this season, but he won’t be at USC next year.

So like some of you and a lot of others in the media have said, ‘Ol Mule Shoe is wasting Caleb Williams. You could see that Caleb was not happy at the postgame press briefing.

What a waste of a season, the talent is there, the defensive coaching is absolute garbage, they have no idea what they’re doing

      5. Arizona could be a trap game that they might lose. A lot depends on whether they get their starting QB back.

  2. “Will it ever get to the point where the AD directs Riley to dump Grinch?”

The question assumes that the AD has more power over the football program than Reilly. That is not correct. Reilly has reinvigorated the fan base and donations are up. He has all the leverage. Nobody, including Folt, is going to tell him what to do. But, he told Folt to build him a new football building and she did it.

  3. Oh my fucking God, Riley aka 162, can’t walk ONE TENTH OF A MILE ?

Hey coach 162, on that daily walk you can ponder WHY YOUR DEFENSE IS SO FUCKING POROUS AND WHY YOUR DC IS SO FUCKING STUPID AND WHY YOUR DB COACH IS A COMPLETE FUCKING PILE OF SHIT.

I will now refer to Riley as 162. Why ? That’s how many points his teams gave up in playoffs games, ALL LOSES

  4. Thank you, Tabloid Scott, for keeping us up to date on the most current details of the Lincoln Riley parking space matter. Anyone can report on the football team, but you keep us up to date on what we are dying to hear about. Can you please get up to date info on the type of toilet seat that Coach uses? Is it round, oval, and is it plastic or porcelain? Does he require that it is soft? Inquiring minds want to know.

    1. Love your wit, Ken! Scott also has some concerns as to why Riley wipes with his left and writes with his right.

  5. Defensive recruits are watching this Alex Grinch shit show, no way in hell are they going to commit to USC with that idiot as the defensive coordinator.

And the other two idiots Shaun Nua and Donte Williams, they are a complete joke.

Entering the B1G next year, USC will be lucky to finish .500
