Did You Think USC Was Done With Pac-12 Network?

Did you think USC played its last game on the Pac-12 Network?

Well, here’s a parting gift: The Oct. 28 game at Cal will be at 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.

ESPN and Fox obviously preferred other games to USC-Cal. Here’s the TV schedule for that day.

    1. Who’s idea was it to hire this fucking clown Lincoln Riley and his boyfriend Alex Grinch?

USC had Chris Petersen right there for the hire, a proven winner, a head coach that always achieved more with less.

Petersen took blue collar kids/players that no one wanted and turned his teams into powerhouses.

What a fucking mistake hiring this ‘Ol Mule Shoe clown and his fucking know nothing boyfriend Alex Grinch…what a goddamn fucking joke!

      1. Yeah Petersen interviewed but he didn’t really want the job. Just listened to what they wanted to say to him. He is not an LA guy. And he burned out at Washington and quit. He is a good coach but has not taken another job because he knows that he is not ready to coach again.

      2. Petersen wanted the SC job at first. Then they scheduled 2 meetings with Pat Haden. After the first meeting Haden did something that they never do. He went public and publicly said that, as an interviewer, Petersen was very unimpressive. Then they had the second meeting and he said that they had both decided that this wasn’t the job for Petersen. Even Petersen(after the 2nd meeting) said “I guess SC is not where I belong”. Well, sure. After being publicly bad mouthed in the media, Petersen came to the conclusion that SC didn’t want him.
Washington wasn’t so stupid. They jumped right in and hired him and then had a party because they were finally able to dump Sark. I read an article by the AD at that time at Washington where he contrasted the way SC handles the interview with Petersen and the way Washington handled it. He said SC came at Petersen with an attitude of “let’s see if you deserve the right to coach at the great USC”. On the contrary “we(Washington) told Petersen that we knew he could win a national championship and we just wanted to see how we could help him to do it”. Naturally, he went to Washington. But he wanted the SC job. SC didn’t want him.

      3. The interview with Peterson was a courtesy interview at best to keep the media off of Haden’s ass. Haden always wanted Sark as the head coach from the get go. Everything was about control and Haden knew he could control Sark, and not Kiffin or Orgeron, because deep down Haden is an insecure control freak.

  1. I see where some would like to save the Pac-12 alignment for the “lesser” sports because flying back to say Maryland is not going to make any sense for a non-revenue producing sport such as tennis

    1. Agree 100%! The financial burden will add up quickly. The logistic expenses will
offset any gains in TV revenue. Football revenues will fork the bills.

  2. Scooter,

People say it is only one game. But each game is the same. There is no improvement with the oline. Williams is always running for his life. I am looking forward to hearing Riley make excuses about the offense and special teams.

Where are the grades for the nd game?

    1. PT, do we really need to see grades for the ND games…..it was a total failure, top tp bottom. Turn the page and focus on Utah……

  3. Lincoln Riley will find a way to win. Everybody going off the deep end over one loss. We have two more losses coming. It is obvious from the defense that this is not a playoff caliber team.

4000 on SC -6.5 over Utah

Celeb lost that ND game before halftime. I foresee a bounce-back game for the entire team especially with the Utes’ having to go with its 2nd string quarterback and a “reformed” defender now its running back

  5. It’s easy to blame the coach, but it’s on the players to execute on the field. If you have great players, then they will compete in any given situation. If you had solid first team all Americans on offense, you could run 42 gap every single play and the defense would not be able to stop it. At some point you have to look at the personnel. It was obvious to everyone that the players we had before LR were lacking, though there were some very good ones. CH produced a great string of QB’s and OL’s and skill players. We just never had enough at every position. This year is not any different. I don’t see much talent in the defensive backfield. I don’t see enough outside speed for contain in the front 7. That is not the end of the world. I see a very poor tackling team and maybe part of that is how thin they are in the depth chart. We will simply need better players. There’s no Joey Browners and no Ronnie Lott’s on this roster and there’s certainly no Ray Malilugas either

  6. I know coaches hate to lose 3 in a row to a rival coach
SC’s John McKay said after his OJ win in 1967 about having lost
2 in a row to sucla newcomer Tommy Prothro,
“Maybe now fans will stop calling me ‘dumb'”

  7. Agree, rah rahs are way to reactionary.

One game only, happy to have 9, 10 or 11 wins in regular season.

Just wondering if anyone under 30 understands importance of beating Bruins or Domers each year. At least Pete made us compete every game. No blowouts in Pete era that I can recall.

Evidently the Helton era damaged USC football more than previously thought.

FYI – Riley is good young coach but he is no Pete Carroll. Never will be imho.

Gabby: I didn’t use the term “white guy.” The CEO of Ocean Gate used the term white guy. I suppose that reading comprehension isn’t one of your strengths. But since you brought my wife into it, something that you would never do if we met face to face, let’s meet up Mr. keyboard tough guy or are you going to chickensh*t out like you normally do. I work out at a boxing gym in Pasadena, CA. Name a date and time and I will make a reservation.

  8. It is not that we lost to ND it is how we lost. Our offensive line got their ass kicked and Caleb was unable to adjust to the lack of protection. He was terrible. What bothers me is the inability to make adjustments. How about changing the blocking schemes or play calling to adjust to the 5 man rush and poor protection. I note that the Cardinals kicked the Rams’ ass in the first half, virtually no offensive rushing yards by the Rams. But in the second half, the Rams opened up with 7 straight rushing plays and scored a touchdown. McVay made adjustments. He is the real offensive genius in L.A. Reilly and Henson were unable to figure it out.
