Does anyone care if USC wins the Holiday Bowl?
This season is a total loss already and won’t be salvaged by a victory over Louisville. The game won’t offer any preview defensively for next season because D’Anton Lynn will not be coaching, which is a wise decision.
Some of the coaches for this game probably will be fired afterward. USC is aggresively recruiting quarterbacks in the transfer portal, so it’s not like seeing Miller Moss play is a glimpse toward 2024.
This game really offers little, except maybe giving Lincoln Riley another chance to go off on the refs.

Of course the Holiday Bowl is worth playing. It not only gives Miller Moss an opportunity but also several young players. Guys like Paige, Noa, Banuelos, Talalele, Lemon, Robinson, Lane, Peterson, Joyner, Shelby, Peevy, Pierce, Crawford, Green and Hughes. Play them all. It was an exceptional recruiting class. And what if Moss can find an open receiver and deliver the ball in under 3 seconds, something Caleb could not seem to do, and the offense rolls up points. It may cause many of us to wonder why Riley is so intent on getting a “one and done” transfer from the portal at a cost of one million plus. I am looking forward to the game.

I see no persuasive evidence that Scott is Go Troy 22 but in the unlikely event that he is, I like this blog even more. Go Troy typically has informative and entertaining post and I don’t think re-posting someone’s prior statement that contradicts his current one is unfair. It certainly doesn’t constitute harassment.

The game has value win or lose.
Several players & coaches can be evaluated during practices and during the game.
Miller Moss is probably the #1 eval, then the future ‘O’ line, then running backs.
Defense will have to wait until spring when the new coaches/portal transfers and high school commits will be in place.
