USC Notes: Will Cam Ward Visit USC?

Quarterback Cam Ward has yet to schedule a visit to USC. The Trojans, Nebraska and Washington are hoping for a visit. He already visited Miami and will visit Florida State.

  • As expected, defensive lineman Jide Abasiri committed to USC. He previously was committed to Minnesota.
  • UCLA safety Kamari Ramsey has USC, Ohio State and Washington as his final three choices.
  • USC WR Tahj Washington has accepted an invitation to the play in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Feb. 1.
  • Former USC guard Drew Peterson has signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics. A two-way contract allows the player to spend up to 45 days in the NBA with that team and the remainder playing for the team’s G-League affiliate.
  • Carol Folt released her season’s greetings video today.
  • The Hecuba statue at USC is undergoing maintenance and cleaning today. Notice that USC did not need to remove the statue, like it did the controversial Widney statue when it said it needed “maintenance and cleaning” in late November.

I believe they are doing that but a ‘quick fix’ is to fill holes NOW which, obviously, not done a year ago because of the head defensive coach Alex Grinch’s defense strategy – speed and deftness – taking the game behind the line. A foolish philosophy and all of this a direct outcome of deceased head coach Mike Leach ‘air raid offense’.

      I hope this works because right now there is only one half a team running – offense.

And I have said Merry Christmas to my Jewish friends. Some say Happy Hanukah in return and that is fine with me. Its the Christmas season, nothing offensive about acknowledging it. My Jewish roommate in college loved Christmas without believing that Jesus was the Christ. He liked the decorations, the music, the lights, the Christmas cartoons on TV, the gift exchanges and participated in all of them. And Muslims have a great reverence for Jesus as a prophet and Mary as his beloved mother. I doubt that they are offended by celebrating his birth.

I said that contrary to Tebow’s assertion, Jews were not offended by someone saying “Merry Christmas” during the Christmas Holiday and that it was appropriate for Ms. Folt to use such a greeting. Be honest about what is said when you frame the question.

        So what is your real question? Let me guess. Why should Jews withhold donations from USC based on Ms. Folt’s actions? She did not offend them.

        Because Ms. Folt is an Atheist who is opposed to Judeo/Christian values. She is on a mission to transform USC into a seminary for Anti-God leftist ideals. These ideals are aimed at destroying Western Culture, Christian Culture, Christians and the Jews.     Here’s where the difference comes in, if we wanted to post a “picture only” copied from Twitter, we right-click copy and paste the link into a blog post… BUT!!!!!… it only appears as a link that we must click on that takes us to Twitter to view the picture.

    What Scott, grabbbyy and slo cal can do is embed the picture in a post where the picture is present as you view their post and you don’t have to click on a link like we would have to do.

    The ability to embed is reserved only for the blog author. There is no other way to embed a picture or GIF. grabbbyy and slo cal are aliases Scott has been using.
