I have to say I’ve been waiting for this. Another five-star departs. After three seasons, Korey Foreman is entering the transfer portal.
What took so long? Two coaching staffs could not get a tune out of Foreman and it’s obvious he needed a fresh start. He was ranked one of the top 5 players in the nation by recruiting services but never became that player at USC.
Part of the problem was USC catered to the hype, like when it announced his signing on a Galen Center billboard. It also indulged the non-football activities.
“It starts on the field. You have to produce,” USC player personnel director Spencer Harris told CBS Sports in 2021. “But he’s already got his [own] logo. He’s got some [branded] clothing. He’s going to put the time and effort and work into it. He’s set himself up to be the next guy.”
Foreman will be remembered for his interception that sealed USC’s victory over UCLA in 2022.
Wow what took so long another 5 ⭐ bust!

Before that girl Kourtney Foreman set foot on the USC campus I said she was going to be a bust. Every Nike camp she participated in she was getting tossed all over the field like a rag doll.
What a waste of a scholarship.

How many five stars did we lose this week? Domani Jackson, Korey Foreman, and Malachi Nelson. These departures will actually benefit the team because it opens up scholarships for men who can play. The rating system really needs to be revised. Jackson and Foreman didn’t even play their senior years in high school and if you look at Nelson you know he is not college ready from a physicality standpoint. Neither was Foreman and I can not recall a USC cornerback being embarrassed as much as Domani Jackson last year. He had absolutely no coverage skills and could barely tackle.

I think there is alot of blame for the coaching staff. Riley has allowed his coaches to indulge their players, rather than demanding toughness and discipline.

Great college coaches know that on top of the measurables — height, weight, speed & high school success— they need players with ATTITUDE —last night in Seattle a backup QB cried while being interviewed, saying he wanted to get on the field and play with his brothers and he would be thankful “for the rest of his life” that everybody came together and got the victory. We didn’t have that spirit in 2023……

This only shows the star ratings are suspect. It’s not always “well they just didn’t coach him up”. The difference in average vs great players really comes down to personal drive to be the best they can be.

When he committed to Clay Helton over top 5 programs, I knew he was a bust. Great coaching staffs have the ability to detect a legitimate prospect

For those that keep insisting USC go get the 5* from MD and Bosco, look at them now. Giove me a 3 star kid any day.

All these college footballers were the Big Man on their high school campuses
so they all have NFL aspirations despite the fact that only about 1% will make it.
Still, that dream burns deeply inside each of them and if they can’t make it at SC
then time to move on where they will appreciate me
