USC Sunday Buzz: Washington Game Losing Luster

USC’s game at Washington on Oct. 2 is starting to look like just another game.

Washington offensive lineman Nate Kalepo entered the transfer portal today, which means the Huskies are projected to lose 9 of the 11 offensive players who started vs. Michigan.

At this point, Washington might hire Jedd the Fisch just to try and quarterback Noah Fifita and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan to transfer to Seattle.

Lincoln Riley dodged a bullet when the Big Ten gave him Washington but not Oregon next season.

  1. I am still trying to get over that last Wash game that was so winnable
to even think about any “luster lost” with Wash 8-months from now

    1. Yep. 3 of our losses [Utah, Washington, Oregon] could have easily gone the other way except for one fucked up defensive play on 3rd and long …and one scramble too many outta Caleb…

  2. The tough games on USC’s schedule might turn out to be…Notre Dame and Nebraska. With Dylan Raiola and Matt Rhule, maybe the Cornhuskers are a good team? Notre Dame will have the LSU offensive coordinator who put up big numbers along with a new QB.

Michigan is losing alot of players and might have a new coach and Washington might be a mess. LSU is in alot of transition, losing their QB and offensive coordinator and changes on defensive staff.

Penn State also in transition with two new coordinators? UCLA will probably stink.

Maybe Wisconsin is another team to watch, with Luke Fickell in his second year.

At least we miss Ohio State and Oregon.

USC is definitely going to be under a microscope this year, with alot of games that everyone wants to watch.

    1. Good analysis Game. With the coaching changes, conference realignments, and the transfer portal, the upcoming season will be difficult to predict. This will likely be the new normal so get used to it. The team that sticks out to me is Oregon – best team that sneaker money can buy. They look solid in the trenches on both sides of the ball along with some good skill players. Hope Fisch gets the Washington job. He did a great job at Arizona, a program that many, including myself, had written off.

    2. Fickell will be in year 3 just like Riley and Marcus Freeman. ‘The prinçess’ wanted Fickell but he chose WI. Freeman is a nice guy but not sure if he’s any good then again this sudden musical chairs both players, assistants & coaches has all of college football in a flux. Brady McCullough (LAT) rated USC # 20 this coming year….and ‘the princess’ at # 16…
      How bout’ them cowboys?

      1. Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan come to mind. Two Servite grads taking their skillset to Seattle. Perhaps Jayden de Laura would then withdraw from the portal and regain the QB job he lost

    1. So Cal ladies of Troy are up by 9 with a quarter to go. Ju Ju is a pure Lady Mamba stone cold scorer. What about those Cowgirls!!! Can’t wait to see First Take another Steven A clowning Cowgirl fans with the black hat cigar loving this Cowgirl massacre. McCarthy get ready for a locker room firing. Let’s go Rams!

    1. Nobody cares what Wolf thinks about Fisch. The guy is good and worked wonders at AZ. Although WA will struggle some monetarily going B1G they will turn it around, 2024 was a rebuild year for them anyway. Oregon will self destruct because they are a millionaire playboys club, not a team. I have yet to see Lanning coach up anyone.

    1. Blown out? Blown out?! With that 2 pointer Dallas now has achieved half as many points as the Packers….. 4 more TD’s in the last 5 minutes and they can wrap this thing up and move on….

  3. Forgive me Caleb fans…but…the way he’s dragged this announcement out is consistent with how he’s approached everything since the moment Lincoln said he was leaving Oklahoma…. everything is about leverage …. everything is ‘how much can I get out of this situation?” —
