USC Morning Buzz: Defensive Duties Raise Questions

Remember when Shaun Nua was hired from Michigan to coach the defensive line coach, it was hailed as a masterstroke to get a Jim Harbaugh assistant coach.

So it seems a little curious that he is now solely coaching defensive ends, which was previously handled by Roy Manning. It doesn’t seem like much responsibility for someone with Nua’s background.

But this is the new restructuring with former Rams assistant Eric Henderson officially the defensive line coach.

“He’s going to be like a GA (graduate assistant) to (new defensive line coach) Eric Henderson,” a Pac-12 coach said. “Henderson will do everything. But Nua will get over it when he gets his paycheck.”

    1. That pineapplehead clown Shaun Nua is lucky to even be getting a check…he ain’t worth a shit

USC should have fired his dumbass last year. When he’s fired he’ll end up just like Grinch, exposed as the know nothing idiot he is with no job prospects.

  1. What coach? I highly doubt any PAC 12 coach is going out of his way to communicate thoughts to a third-rate blogger aka Scott Wolf.

It’s pathetic that Scott has been reduced to voices in his head as a source of content.

      1. Exactly, Grabbbyy!

Pay no attention to the nutcase behind the curtain, Parcel. Cries about the Wolfman all the time, but can’t get enough of his blog.

        PS…..any progress on the single-wide?

      3. “single wide?”

The comment was directed at so cal. When his old man crocked he inherited a single-wide trailer from him that he now lives in. According to a source, the thing is an eyesore.

      4. “According to a source…”

And she has the nerve to accuse Wolf of making up sources! As always, accusing others of what she’s guilty. Proving why she’s know to most here not only as the Village Idiot, but a BS Artist.

      5. It was a joke!….. Once again, more comprehension issues. I don’t know of any real source that would have the location of your trailer park…..feel better! ……your location is still a secret

There you have it folks, the blog dunce

      6. So cal……if you know my comments are BS then why get all butt-hurt when you read them. You’re the naive fool who actually thinks a pac12 coach is in contact with Wolf in a personal setting feeding him intel and opinions…..

  2. Wolf you can only dream of getting Coach Nua’s paycheck, 401K match (100% up to 10%) and other fringe benefits.

    Keep dreaming.

Coach Nua was stuck with Grinch system. DL will be fine in 2024.

Anyone else read LAT endorsement of Gascon? It was hilarious and sad at same time.

Anyone but GASCON is my motto.

  3. Nua coached the edge players at Michigan not the interior DL or the DL period.

Wolf has nothing to talk about so he’s going to stir the pot, it’s just who he is.

    1. Not according to Scott’s post from two years ago when Nua was hired:

“Nua is being credited today with coaching Michigan stars Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo.

But if you read reports from Michigan, Ryan Osborn coached the edge rushers and Nua coached interior linemen.”

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Ryan Osborn was a defensive analyst at Michigan, whatever that is.
David Ojabo was a OLB at Michigan, is that the edge these days ?
Per the Michigan website, Nua was their DL coach, he was Navy’s DL coach, he was ASU’s DL coach, he played DE at BYU, so I guess he coached DL & DE at all these schools.

      1. But you’re not wrong, MG. More people here would love for Gabby to go even more than Kliff. (And many of us REALLY want Kliff gone.)

You watch! The idiot will act as if this was directed to her, when it was merely a response to YOUR remark. She makes that mistake a LOT.

      2. Your support for my removal is little to none. I know it claps your ass when MG says something positive about my participation in this blog. You speak for a party of none.

So why continue to read my comments if they trigger you……could it be a mental defect…..please explain?

Plus, this blog occasionally needs some spirited bantering, and it helps Wolf’s click count.

I recognized your sarcasm and was going along with it. As usual, another comment flew over so cal’s head again. The old feet-in-the-mouth routine. He continues to earn the name “blog dunce”

Now when I refer to you as the Village Idiot (and a few others) I can actually SAY the blog refers to you as such, since MANY other posters have!! Grow a brain and quit lying.

      3. If there is an actor by the name of Scott Wolf, I have never heard of him. Of course, every once in a while I look at the academy award winners and I have never heard of any of them either. Like I said, I’m not much into hollywood.

      4. Yep….sure enough…..never heard of him. But that doesn’t surprise me. Some people know a little about everything but not very much about any one subject. I’m not like that. I know a great deal about a few things and very little about the rest. Some people might say that I live in my own little world…….maybe!!!

      7. You AND So Cal are both doing wonders for Scott’s click count —[Side Note: I’ve noticed people backing off when Gabby tells them, directly or indirectly, to back off. wtf?! Gabby loves a fight. Go for it, everybody. As for the occasional threat of physical violence —so fucking what? Has anybody ever been in —or even watched— a real fight? You don’t hear guys going “ouch” or “that hurts” — cuz you don’t even feel it while you’re fighting. Stop worrying —and say what you want 24/7 —it’s the way Gabby and I operate…and it works out fucking fine]……
