USC Morning Buzz: Is Anything Said About Caleb Williams Right?

Does anyone keep track of the misinformation regarding Caleb Williams and the NFL?

  • How many times have people said Williams wanted to own a piece of the team that drafted him, which is not allowed under NFL rules?
  • Just before Williams declared for the NFL draft, there were false reports Williams demanded the Bears trade the No. 1 pick or he would return to USC.
  • There were also plenty of USC fans still saying he would return to USC even after he didn’t play in the Holiday Bowl.

Part of this is because Williams is such a marquee figure, idle speculation just follows him.

But there’s been nothing to suggest so far he won’t be the first or second pick in the NFL Draft despite the naysayers. He’s actually been pretty normal compared to other past quarterbacks projected to be No. 1.

How about this take: Sam Hartman? Sam Hartman?!?!?!

  • Brenden Rice measured at 6201 at the Senior Bowl this week. Naturally, USC listed him at 6-3.
  • There’s been a lot of focus on how this has been an unprecedented year with UCLA and USC women’s basketball ranked in the top 10 for most of the season. Well, USC’s lost three of its past four games while UCLA’s lost three of its past five games.

      1. HI GEORGE……
REMEMBER HOW ERROL FLYNN [AS GENERAL CUSTER] MADE THE GUY WHO “DIDN’T WANT TO GO” FIGHT BESIDE HIM IN THE MOVIE “THEY DIED WITH THEIR BOOTS ON”?

      2. Me either, George, but originally it was not clear that Custer’s batallion would be demolished until they realized they were up against an armed Indian colony of some 2000 anti-White natives, and the ensuing slaughter so enraged the ‘White Man’ that ‘he’ sent force after forcce that led to the Indians’ destruction

  1. Lindsay Gottlieb took over a team that has been dead for decades She recruited the top player in the country last year, has gotten them into the top 10, has the top recruiting class coming in next year, and Wolf, as usual, shits all over her accomplishments. Well done Scotty, well done.

  2. Caleb Williams garnered ntl’ publicity not only for his skill as a play maker but also drew attention for three other moves:
    1. Painting his fingernails with foul insults
    2. Crying in the arms of his mother after his ‘dreams’ were crushed and lastly…
    3. Refusing to meet the press and, abetted by his coaching staff, making other 3rd parties know ‘who’ it is that had full control of the team.

  3. If I am an egotistical football owner (is there any other kind?)
I’m thinking I want a “Yes sir, no sir” quarterback, and this guy ain’t it

    1. You couldn’t be more right, John. No matter how talented he is as a QB, Caleb lost the respect of the best [Rice] receiver he had —and compounded that by forcing the o-line to do their job twice as long as they should have to….. by the time the UCLA game rolled around the team was in shambles….they came together and beat a legitimate Top 15 team in the Holiday Bowl under Moss…..

      1. Celeb was an extrovert and a narcissist, especially after his Heisman year. It seemed the players felt obligated to smile and outwardly go along with anything he said. He was crazy about himself,
        not so much anybody else

      3. Caleb is a very talented guy……..as talented as anyone in the recent past. But you need more than talent. You need to fit into the over all team plan. You can have 5 really outstanding O-Linemen and still not have a good O-Line if they don’t play together. I’ve also seen teams with average O-Linemen(out of high school) who had great O-Lines. I think Caleb was a real hindrance to the unity of that offense last year. I think that they will have a much better offense this year under Miller Moss even though Moss is a really good QB and Caleb is great.

      4. After watching Jayden Maiava for a season(11 starts) and Miller Moss in limited use, Jayden has better t00ls in his t00lbox. Riley knows what he has in Jayden!

  4. As Sonny Weaver said about Bo Callahan “It’s a character issue for me”. Hopefully history repeats itself and Caleb drops down far enough so the Seahawks get him.

  5. And if Celeb thought 7-5 was a poor record wait until he gets a load of the bottom-10 NFL teams. The guy may never win anything,
but again, thanks for 2022, Celeb

  6. Wait, the turning point was the cutting of his hair. He had that impossible hairdo in 2022, and then he went corporate, cut it all off and looked like every other schmuck peddling a product

      4. I’m going to call out your hypocrisy and stupidity every time. Don’t lie to yourself and claim it’s bait, as some sort of excuse. As I stated, it just shows everyone what a miserable, pathetic life you lead. No one else would feel the need to post the shit you do.

      5. You’re a joke and are treated like a joke so stop the pouting old man. Many members of this blog have told you to stop taking the bait, knucklehead. But your narcissism wins out every time

Find a hobby and enjoy life. Arguing 24/7 is not good for your mental health

I hope you have a better day and tell your old lady I said hello!

      6. Excuses & lies, excuses & lies. FAR more people have advised you to get the professional help you obviously need, so don’t be stupid enough to go there. I know you lie to yourself about that, too.

      7. And btw, being stupid enough to say “arguing 24/7 is not good for mental health” is advice YOU should take. Look above. YOU are the one who felt the need to chime in with stupidity.

For you to say that after doing so just shows why you are known to the ENTIRE BLOG as the Village Idiot. (Unlike your false claim. That is just you and your many posting names. But you love to lie.)

Yes, it is. That’s why you felt the need to chime in above. But you’re too stupid to see and admit that. No worries.

      11. Lying to yourself again. LOL!

Calling out your hypocrisy is not taking the bait. Calling out your stupidity is not taking the bait. Pointing out how YOUR narcissism compelled you to chime in (as you did above) is not taking the bait. Pointing out how you often claim I’m obsessed with or stalking you, even though it’s usually YOU who feels the need to jump in is not taking the bait.

But nice childish attempt at getting me to not point these things out; It won’t work. I’ll call it out each & every time, if I choose.
