Raiders Could Have USC Flavor Next Season

There is a lot of buzz the Raiders are going to hire Kliff Kingsbury as offensive coordinator. You know who else they are supposed to hire? Hue Jackson. Oy vey.

And they already have Kennedy Polamalu as running backs coach.

That means the Raiders could have three former USC assistants on staff next season. And Raiders owner Mark Davis used to run around the Student Union when his dad, Al, was a USC assistant.

  1. Raiders have relied heavily on Josh Jacobs and their running game over the past few years. Surprised they are interested in Kingsbury who doesn’t like to run the ball. They must be headed in a different direction. Perhaps they have a lousy offensive line and are looking for a way to get around that weakness.

  2. USC will have a new basketball coach next season, and most of the current players on the roster will either move on to the NBA or transfer. Enfield, is simply not a basketball coach, and it is time to move on.
Best candidate without a doubt- Randy Bennett at St. Mary’s. who can flat out win without alot less talent. Perfect fit for USC basketball he does not tolerate street ball, and his players must play defense each and every game.

  3. Remember when Galen was built and SC thought it would usher in a new era of Trojan basketball?– Should have just continued to use the Sports Arena

  4. Scooter,

Thank God Kingsbury is gone. However, I do like Al Davis for his loyality to USC. Through the years he picked up players from SC like Vella, Phillips, Allen (even though Davis screwed him over) and others. Raiders will always be one of my favorites because of the loyality to SC.
