USC Morning Buzz: It’s A Young Man’s Game

I’m hearing Pete Carroll is disillusioned after no NFL teams offered him a job following his departure from Seattle.

But look at who replaced him: New Seahawks coach Michael Macdonald is 36. New Patriots coach Jerod Mayo is 37. New Titans coach Brian Callahan is 39. Carroll disciple Dave Canales, the new Tampa Bay coach, is 42. Meanwhile, Carroll is 72.

  • USC offensive analyst Kliff Kingsbury is a candidate to be Raiders’ offensive coordinator. Eric Bieniemy also interviewed for the job.
  • USC has hired Savannah Reier as assistant director of recruiting operations. She previously worked at Hawaii.
  • MarShawn Lloyd played at South Carolina so maybe it’s understandable he said “Southern Cal” at the Senior Bowl.

    However, teams might have wondered how much fire remained
    in a 72 year old’s body and whether he could relate to a brand new group of young men

More than a million dead Americans as a result of that mistake and hundreds of thousand dead in the various conflicts that have erupted all over the world, as a result of weakness & incompetence.       1. Really good short video about how NIL and transfer portal is destroying college football. Soon SC and all the other schools will not be able to hang on to really good coaches. They’ll all be wanting to go to the NFL where they can just coach football and not worry about becoming salesmen in the recruiting game and babysitters with these entitlement mentality kids nowadays.

    salesmen (to get the kids into the school) and then babysitters (to try to keep the kid at the school)
    The only thing attractive is that these guys are getting paid
    up to $10-million such as Wiley

      4. Noah Mikhail is predicted to go to SC. He’s visited SC many times. 36.9% say he is going to SC. The 2nd place team is Texas with 9.5%. But there is 35 teams going after him…..many offering big money. I’m curious to see whether he actually goes to SC. Maybe he will. Maybe his love for SC is greater than his love for the Brinks truck. We’ll see. It’s hard to sell your university to a kid when other schools are offering him loads and loads full of cash and your school isn’t. I’m curious to see who he chooses.
