Lincoln Riley Swears He Is Happy To Be In Big Ten

USC coach Lincoln Riley did a barrage of TV shows today and told the Pat McAfee Show

“Going and playing in these different venues for all the teams, I think it’s going to be awesome,” Riley said. “It’s a tremendous league that’s only been made better by these additions. The schedule we’re getting ready to play. The different rivalries that are getting ready to come up. I think are really special.”

We’ll see how special he feels the Big Ten if he loses a couple games. Or he can’t throw the ball as much as he wants because of inclement weather. But on paper, it’s great!

      1. Good point, Michael, just how many rivalries does one school need to have?– sucla, Neuter Dame, Oregano, Wash and now Mich,
State of Pen, and The OSU

      1. Yeah, tell that to Mich at 1-6 and Ohio St at 0-7 (discounting Helton’s folly game) in recent years

      2. Absolutely agree. I’ll always be excited for USC football but something is going to be missing about these games.

    1. Actually, the last time SC came out of the tunnel for The ‘Buckwheats’
was 2009 when Joe and Barkley managed a 4th quarter rally with over 100,000 Ohio St fans screaming at them, so Wiley is inheriting a one-game winning streak over them (the loss by Ton-o-Hel doesn’t count)

      1. I’m too lazy to check…but…I think we beat Ohio State at home in a game before that too…. I seem to remember the game being played in a thunder storm…

  2. I’m still baffled by the fact that Lincoln Riley actually believes that the PAC 12 was the strongest conference in college football last season… Really? I think Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa would take issue with that.

    1. Ohio State did not play a tough schedule. They were undefeated going into the last two games against Michigan and Missouri and lost them both. Who else did they play? Notre Dame and Penn
State were their only legitimate wins and both programs suffered offensively. They played Youngstown, Western Kentucky, Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers, Michigan State, ect.

      1. It never stops with Scott. Riley is making alot of very good changes, he is working hard at recruiting. NIL at USC is slowly getting better.

The focus is on good coaching now. I’m glad KK is moving on, Riley will be better off with influences that are less air raid oriented.

    1. It’s supposed to be a school secret, Grabby ….but…. Lincoln cut all his body hair off when Caleb turned pro… according to Carol, it’s just starting to grow back…
