USC Saturday Buzz: An Under Radar Candidate For UCLA

If I’m UCLA, I’m taking a long look at UNLV coach Barry Odom.

Anyone who can win nine games at UNLV is doing something right and when you’re at a program like UCLA, you are better off hiring a coach who can do more with less resources.

It’s better than having an entitled coach who thinks the world owes him, aka Chip Kelly.

Before coming to UNLV, he spent eight years in the SEC, so he knows what it means to coach in a Big Boy football conference.

I didn’t say I’d hire him, without doing extensive research, but I would take a long look.

      1. So UCLA wants grades based on skin color.

They want people who are not black held to higher standards.

So thanks to Chancellor Blockhead’s policy, a UCLA degree granted to a black person is devalued due to its inherent dual track (genuine) racism.

If I was black and had a degree from UCLA, I’d sue.

Would you take the case, MG?

  1. My sources, who I never trust, say this Las Vegas guy is waiting to see if he doesn’t get the job of the losing coach in the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, never fear, Swift is only hours away from Vegas and she has been advised to keep quiet about who she politically favors, advice she will customarily ignore

      1. It’ll end, in a very public and messy divorce, her making a mint with an album full of songs ripping his ass a new one over their relationship and failed marriage. Travis will wish he never hit that hole !

      2. Now I figured out your “situation” with Swift, Michael, she is a democrat, your worst enemy. I don’t care about people’s political persuasions, I just accept them for who they are

  2. No one cares about UCLA football. Chip Kelly found that out in the end. Good for him no longer will he try to win football games in a empty stadium with a bunch of pigeons living off free tickets and football from the State of California. Chip, the best of luck, but in my opinion your career was ruined when you left Oregon, and destroyed when you came to UCLA.

      1. Why follow the law? People don’t care about the law. Even when the law finds someone NG, people still call the guy a double murderer. 🙂

      2. No cares what you have to say…..when will you get that through your head…..All you do is argue, like a narcissist, with everyone you disagree with. It’s amazing how you let one man living in the WH get under your skin every day.

The hospice gave you the middle finger because you were a nightmare to deal with and they threw your old man in the dumpster. I am sure they were all happy once both of you were gone.

There is no shame in agreeing to disagree. I am sure your family feels the same way!

      3. What about when the law finds someone proven to cause the death of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson and held liable to the families for wrongful death.

How many times in the last couple of days have you failed to comprehend what someone posted. You have some cognitive issues, the proof is clear.

        When can we meet up?

    1. Though it may seem like a pitiful situation, Chip leaving here is the best possible scenario for UCLA. They get out from under his contract which runs through 2027 and start fresh.

  3. I see USC is rated #99 in terms of returning production, but quite frankly, I think it is a good thing. We saw in the Holiday Bowl that maybe moving past some of the starters from last year is what is needed to bring this team together. The team from the HB was a glimpse of what this season will be, in a good way.
