The first over/under for regular season wins I’ve seen for USC is 7.5 via BetOnline.
That seems really low. I understand the concerns about USC’s schedule (which is actually less daunting given Washington’s demise and Jim Harbaugh’s departure).
But is 8 wins considered good next season? Are expectations that low? If USC wins 8 games, you make money. But if you are a USC fan, you won’t feel good about that record.
- I’m already sick of sycophants who don’t even know USC defensive line coach Eric Henderson referring to him as “Coach Henny.”
- JuJu Watkins made 6 of 32 shots today vs. Oregon State. USC won, 58-50.
There Wolf’s JuJu comment, of course it’s only after she has a shitty game.
BTW, game was AT Oregon State, OSU had beaten ucla, ranked 9th, the game before, oh and OSU is ranked 11th, Wolf omitted all of those tidbits

I misread this poll….thought it was for this year….so disappointed when I realized it was for last year’s 5 loss season.

btw –The “Right” 8 wins [LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame} could make for quite a memorable season….

Ohio state and Oregon have the easy schedules this year, but USC’s schedule isnt horrible.
On one hand, 9 wins could be pretty good with this schedule, but on the other hand, if USC can retain a top 5 offense and then add a top 20 defense, it could be a very good team.
I have said this before, but the more I looked at Moss’ performance versus Caleb’s, the more I think Caleb is overrated. I noticed that Moss threw the ball into tight windows, where Caleb would run around forever in the backfield trying to find a receiver that was wide open. That caused lots of problems for the o-line and some big losses. Caleb has excellent physical skills and arm strength, but Moss has the better brain and might be more consistent.
After watching Maiava’s highlights, I am not convinced Moss will be the only starter this year. Maiava has real athletic talent, runs well and throws on the run well. Of course, I didnt watch his bad plays, so I cant say I really know.

Moss is really good and he gets rid of the ball fast. I was just watching one video and they were interviewing a guy from PFF and they asked him about Caleb. He wasn’t shy about telling how talented Caleb was. Then they asked him about any negatives he might have seen with Caleb. His answer was….”he plays too much hero ball”. That hurt the rythm of the SC offense last year and it exhausted the O-Linemen. That won’t happen this year. SC is going to have a really good offense….one of the best in the nation.

Most 8-5 teams that lose their starting QB, RB and WRs don’t have a top five offense the next season.

Scooter,
You have not brought up the progress on Deadeux field. Well, I will tell you. I saw the stadium today and they have torn down the seats from the two rooms formerly the tech room and the history room. My question is, where is the funding coming from to build a new staduim. It sucks that SC has to practice at el camino and then play at lmu and irvine. They will spend more time on the road than practicing and you see it now wiht the two losses.

In all of Los Angeles USC could not find a closer place to practice and play games? Sounds like someone is lazy about doing their job. To bad they tore down Wrigley Field.
