      1. Truin,

You have no room to talk. Your ruins have been pathetic for, the last 94 years in football (1929- 2023). The ruins backed into the 1/2 title and did not play in the rose bowl back in 1954 else they would have had their ass whipped, as usual. Even that qb who won the heisman was medicore when he won it. At that time, they did not hand out the heisman to juniors else OJ would have won it. I also like how the ruin fans attend a game. They have more employees at the rose bowl than fans at a game. A good high school like St. Monica could handle uglies fan. We all know ugly football is a joke. Too bad Kenny Washington and Woody Strode played there. They had great talent and it was wasted at ugly. We all know ugly sucks and always will.

    1. I agree it’s sad what has happened to UCLA. Back in the days of Prothro and Donahue they were a legitimate Top 20 football program. They will be a cellar dweller in the Big Ten in football and those 2000-3000 mile road trips in the dead of winter road will kill their men’s basketball team.

  1. Las Vegas sees it for what it is, they don’t pretend like lots of Lincoln Riley’s followers do, especially since money is on the line. USC will be lucky to finish above 500 based on their tough schedule. The coaching staff has not recruited as well as the upper echelons of the Big Ten. Talent wins games not clever schemes. And not to mention it’s a very physical conference.

  2. We’ll all know by 21st Sept after the MI game. If USC defeats LSU on the 1st and MI the ride is challenging but it’s doable and that’s because Kelly is in an equally tight vice. New head coaches take at least a yearc o figure their new situation and right now there are a nunch of programs that have made a change….they are all dealing with the unknown intil they face a top tier opponent.
Riley has 2 years to prove his hire was legit or it’s over same with Kelly just like Jimbo Fisher found out. The old guard of successful head coaches is moving on and it’s all pretty equal.
The thing is, Riley has no allusions of infallibility – his loyalty to Grinch is indelible and if he gets sacked his failure at USC will tail him forever.

    USC will do fine ‘if’ we’re 3 – 0 after MI it’s a glide
