Saturday Buzz: USC Close To Completing Staff?

USC has interviewed TCU running backs coach Anthony Jones Jr. to replace former assistant coach Kiel McDonald per FootballScoop.com.

Jones worked in 2022 at TCU with Garrett Riley, the brother of Lincoln Riley. He will immediately become the best running backs coach in the nation per the fanboy media if he takes the USC job.

  • The Los Angeles City Council has voted down an appeal that sought to block construction of USC’s proposed new soccer stadium.

A group called USC Forward wanted the university to conduct additional environmental reviews to account for “unabated student growth” before building the $38 million project.

The new stadium will seat almost 2,500.

  • This is worth watching just for the last 2 seconds when Chris “Mad Russo” mispronounces Caleb Williams’ name two different ways. “Cal-ub, Kuh-leeb” Williams.

    You hear about another ‘naw yawk’ mouth ‘upset’ was hearing Mike ‘Greenie’ Greenberg, all hyped up last September with a bunch of friends, watching the NYJ vs BUF, Aaron Rodgers debut, CRYING after Rodgers is taken off the field with a torn achilles.

    1. On a serious note —Lincoln keeps showing he isn’t Head Coach material— Miller Moss balled out in the Holiday Bowl —-the team played better physical football with him at the controls….and yet…. Lincoln is still looking for his kinda run-around QB to take Miller’s place.

      5. No, the QB position is still the same, just the offense’s have changed and ” back in the day ” there was this offense called the wishbone, QB’s had to be able to run in that offense. And even teams that didn’t run the wishbone had running QB’s, Ohio State had one named Cornelius Greene, Michigan had Rick Leach, there were others.

      6. I remember when they recruited him as a 3 star out of Santa Monica high school. He was considered a project.. I saw some film of him and said “this kid is a great pass blocker(great feet) but needs work as a run blocker”. Unfortunately, he was a head case.
