USC Notes: Another Reminder Of Clay Helton Getting It Wrong

Former USC wide receiver Michael Pittman has agreed to a 3-year, $70 million deal with the Colts that can reach up to $71.5 million with $46 million guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport.

Remember, Pittman was barely playing at USC until his father expressed his dissatisfaction on twitter and then a few days later Clay Helton suddenly started Pittman against Arizona State.

It was a great illustration of Helton being unable to figure out who to play. He wasted Pittman’s freshman year using him primarily on special teams.

  • USC is ranked No. 3 in The AP Top 25 women’s basketball poll, its best ranking in 38 years.
  • USC hurdler Jasmine Jones won the NCAA indoor championship in the 60-meter hurdles in 7.77 seconds, the best college time in the nation this season.
