Everything Old Is New Again

A few days ago, UCLA coach DeShaun Foster said offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy will run the West Coast offense.

It’s not a surprise because Bieniemy’s been a West Coast offense guy in the NFL. But . . . this is not the NFL and it kind of feels like an offense that defensive coordinators in the Big Ten won’t mind facing as opposed to the craziness of the Air Raid.

It’ll be interesting to see how it works next season. Every team seems to be able to score in college football but I can’t stop thinking about Paul Hackett when I hear West Coast offense.

  • I’m hearing USC assistant coach Chris Capko is interested in the Pepperdine job.
  • In the past seven seasons, USC and Oregon State have the same number of NCAA Tournament victories. That’s for the growing smaller legion of Andy Enfield defenders.

  2. WHO THINKS THEY HAVE TO DEFEND ENFIELD? wolfie thinks you do, unless you have agreed with him the last 7 years,or so Enfield has been SC bsktball coach. Year after year, Enfield is a total worthless failure to the wolf.

I just look at a coaches total record, not just one yr, although this yr was a giant loser,it also was filled with a lot of medical issues, that were unforseen. Enfield did fail to get a true dominant BIG MAN under the basket, maybe this year he can find one.
