The first day of spring football practice is usually uneventful but it’s already clear USC needs a wide receiver from the spring practice. Or more.
“Without a shadow of a doubt (we will add one),” wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons said.
USC will also be looking for an offensive tackle in the portal. Elijah Paige and Mason Murphy are the top tackles.
“The depth is a little of a concern right now,” Lincoln Riley said. “There’s certainly the possibility we may look to add somebody there.”
- Riley said he was not sure if he would name a starting QB by the end of spring practice.
