USC Advances To Elite Eight

JuJu Watkins made only 8 of 28 shots but she made 11 of 12 free throws to lead the Trojans past Baylor, 74-70, in a Sweet 16 game in Portland.

USC will play either UConn or Duke on Monday.

Carol Folt and Jen Cohen were at the game. Hopefully they were discussing who will replace Andy Enfield.

    JuJu came through in the end with pressure free throw after free throw, but 8 for 28 shooting is not going to do it the rest of the way

      8. Happy Resurrection day to you So Cal. But be careful. Your cartoons and other posts suggest that you could be a Christian Nationalist, the greatest danger to our democracy. Posts like the one above could land you on Garland’s counter terrorism watch list, like the parents who protested critical race theory being taught to their kids at the local school board meeting. Better not attend a Catholic mass in Latin until things cool down. In fact, it may be a good idea to post a “Happy Transgender Visibility Day” cartoon just to be safe.

        So that a certain someone doesn’t take me the wrong way, I’m for “awareness” — I just happened to notice all our “new” holydays fall on church holydays [All Saints Day, The Immaculate Conception, the Ascension] ….. almost as if we’re trying to supplant honored traditions with fringe celebrations…..
