There were probably millions of casual fans who saw USC play for the first time Monday night and frankly, the coaching performance was less than sterling against UConn.
- UConn had no bench.
- Half its team was in foul trouble by halftime.
- USC was taller.
- And despite all this, USC was content to just jack up quick shots from the perimeter for key parts of the game instead of running an offense, or trying to get the ball in the hands of JuJu Watkins, which at least might free someone else up to get an open shot.
USC had a golden opportunity to get to the Final Four and instead lost to UConn, 80-73.
Did USC run an offense in the second half? Is Lindsay Gottlieb happy with the offense?
“They earned their way to a Final Four. I don’t think we gave it to them. I think they earned it,” Gottlieb said.
That was no vintage UConn team, by the way.

Yesterday Gabby admitted that he had no intention of appearing for a boxing match. “Nobody fights over what is said on a blog.” He was incredulous that anyone should ask for an apology. He has has no code of honor and therefore believes that nobody else should live by one. Although he admits that he will not back up his words with a boxing match, he has now dishonesty posted at least 10 times the exact same response about how he showed up at the gym in Miami.
