The speculation was true as Bear Alexander has entered the transfer portal, according to On3.
The amount of attention Alexander received was ridiculous, thanks to the fact he transferred from Georgia.
I’ve been consistent about Alexander: He was inconsistent.
Some of the fanboys, however, who sang his praises will now criticize him.
Whatever issues he had, the fact is the defensive line is not better without him, especially given the fact he had been at USC for a year. Guess he didn’t want the privilege of playing for Coach “Henny.”
Perhaps the fact Alexander enrolled at five high schools in Texas and is about to go to his third college in three years tells you everything you need to know about sports these days.
OK, fanboy media, time to start overhyping a young defensive lineman to replace Alexander!
Say it ain’t so Bear,.. Say it ain’t so!

I thought Bear was very talented. This will hurt our defense. But it will hurt Bear’s draft stock even more. Coach Henny knows what it takes to be successful in the NFL and offered his plan to Bear who experienced it, and decided to walk away likely because it was too damn hard. You don’t want that on your NFL draft resume.

What happened to his “Mentor” Tony Jones who was guiding him from Georgia to USC to keep on the straight and narrow path?

Why are you acting like you know what Henderson told Alexander? What makes you think that kid cares what any coach says?
It’s about the money. Let him go. Coach Henny, indeed. You write like a fanboy.

Pigskins says “What makes you think that kid cares what any coach says?”
That is my point. It appears that Bear may be uncoachable and that will hurt his draft stock. Not many teams will risk a high draft choice on a kid who transferred 5 times in high school and 3 more in college and walked away from an opportunity to be coached by Gerald Henderson.

Didn’t he get an expensive, posh apartment downtown? ”College ” football is a complete sh*t show now.

Thank you, Grabby. It looks like every personality on our blog is represented in this clip, including Scott —- now it’s time for someone to match the stars to our Inside USC posters.

I hope he stays but I have questions about this guy. He just seems to be a mercenary and a drifter. One writer said that he transferred 4 times in high school and this is his third time transferring in college. We want guys who want to be at USC. This guy doesn’t seem to want to be anywhere. If he is playing this game just to get more NIL, I wouldn’t give it to him. If you do, every other outstanding player on the team is going to start playing the game too. Then you will really have a problem.

grabby,
This is a great movie. Two SC guys acting and they just fit together like a silk glove. Great acting.

fickleness is as fickleness does…guess he does not like the new coaches and their ideas…move along little doggie, move along.Maybe the work is too hard, too bad’cause he seemed like he was doing pretty well.wolfie will pour out his subjective perceptions which are usually off base a couple thousand miles.

If you’re team is totally dependant on one person, you don’t have much of a team. Great teams are TEAMS

So Henderson got a better deal to leave USC. How surprising that another team would use false promises to cripple USC. If Alexander has no loyalty then you don’t want a player like that on a rebuilding team.
Walter Nolan cost $2 million for Ole Miss. Bear probably looking for the same or more.

This “free agency” in the colleges is worse than in the NFL where at least they have a few rules that all teams must abide by. In college it is “Hi Oregon, I can get $1-mil out of SC, what can you do for me?”

SC’s ‘Bear’ had less hair than a real bear as he stared at passing running backs void of any care ’cause the blame was shared. Still, he dared seek out a new affair, whether fair or ‘no,’ he has not a care. Bye Bear, good luck

This is actually a very sad day for Wolf. He miscalculated when to play the negativity card with Bear. He went in early labeling him as inconsistent. Think if he had waited until now to go negative – he could have declared this situation an unmitigated disaster! Why can’t Riley and Henny keep the defense’s best player?, What will become of the defensive line this year?, etc. etc. Now Wolf has to downplay the loss of Bear instead. You blew it, Douchebag.
