USC Notes: Trojans Add Transfer Guard

UC San Diego transfer Bryce Pope has committed to USC. Pope averaged 18.3 points last season but only 33 percent on 3-pointers. He is a sixth-year senior.

USC currently has five scholarship players. Is the Muss Bus rolling now?

  • Among the celebrities scheduled to be at USC this weekend for the Festival of Books: Sophia Bush (USC graduate), RuPaul, Henry Winkler, Tamron Hall, Ed Begley Jr., Lauren Graham, Ronda Rousey, Tiffany Haddish, Russ Tamblyn, Amber Tamblyn, Tiffani Thiessen, Taylor Hackford (USC graduate), Jon Favreau, Eriq La Salle, Kerry Washington and George Stephanopulous.

    1. Don’t leave out Henry Winkler…..[who, to be fair, made a great Scrooge in A Christmas Carol]…or Ed Begley Jr [who, to be fair again, brightened, like, 40 comedies over the last 30 years & was Marlon Brando’s favorite neighbor]……

  1. Looks like a good pick-up for the basketball team. San Diego had a good program and a 6th year senior will add some experience.

Are the book celebrities authors who are peddling a book? If not, who cares. Gee, you get to see Fonz, President Bush’s daughter, and some other actors that haven’t been seen in years. Are these people paid for their appearances?

  2. Good pick-up by ‘Muzzle,’ anybody from the San Diego schools, and 33% is ok for 3-pointers, that equates to 50% for 2-pointers

    2. I would have liked DA Bragg to define what crime was committed before we proceed with a trial. The constitution requires him to do this. The records act is subject to a statute of limitations defense so Bragg said that the statute was violated in the commission of a felony to get around the SOL defense while neglecting to clearly identify the felony. He has hinted that Trump improperly used campaign funds to pay off Stormy Daniels in violation of Federal Election laws but that allegation was already investigated by the Feds and they found insufficient grounds to charge Trump. So I guess Bragg will now prosecute Trump for a supposed crime that is clearly outside of his jurisdiction. Maybe we should have the Huntsville Alabama DA go after Hunter Biden for tax fraud.

      1. In the Federal case, any half-wit should comprehend that unindicted co-conspirator #2 was Donald J Trump. At Mr. Trump’s request, I chose to sweep his involvement under the rug along with the crimes he committed related to the Mueller report.

      2. Cy Vance Jr., a democrat, U.S. attorney for New York and son of Carter’s secretary of state, made the decision not to prosecute an alleged violation of the election laws. And the Mueller report, after spending 32 million, concluded that Trump did not collude with Russia. Rather, as stated in the Durham report, the whole allegation of collusion was a hoax engineered by Hillary Clinton to take heat off of the fact that she used a computer server in her home that had reams of highly classified top secret materials on it that Comey said was very likely breached by our enemies and that she lied about it. This was a capital offense. She masterminded the Steele dossier, paid for it, and the FBI and media were complicit in the hoax yet it went on for over two years with the intent to cripple the Trump administration. But what the hell Gabby, Trump is a threat to democracy. Isn’t that the campaign slogan. Take Trump off the ballot even though 50% of the voters support him because he is the threat, not us. Throw your opposition in jail to save democracy. You really have to be quite ignorant or evil to fall for this stuff.

      3.  You really have to be quite ignorant or evil to fall for the bullshit you just typed. Vance was never a US attorney at any time in his life. According to your number of 32 million, Meuller turned a profit of 33 million for the US Treasury based on illegal assets seized from Manafort. Looks like your nose is growing again!

Please provide factual details that prove Hilary was behind the Steele dossier. Since you brought up Durham, why hide the fact he spent millions and millions of taxpayer money which led to not one single indictment related to his trump-driven investigation. Actually, the report showed evidence that trump may have committed crimes. At least Meuller turned a profit and a total of thirty-four individuals and three companies were indicted thanks to his investigation

It’s disturbing that you feel trump is above the law and shouldn’t be held accountable. But what the hell Plow, trump is not a threat to democracy, right

      4. Gabby — Obviously, I don’t like the feel of what they’re doing to Trump. But it goes beyond that. I can honestly say I felt sick when Clinton was subjected to that bullshit televised interrogation over his affair with Lewinski — I can also say that I think it would be a waste of time for the repubs to go after Biden if he loses the election. Let it go. Let’s move on.

[But I wouldn’t mind seeing someone without a large constituency — say, Garland —- set up as a sacrificial lamb. The country needs one person totally destroyed in order to feel good about itself again. Yeah, Garland. The more I think about it, the more I like it — maybe even execute him —but let everyone else go their merry way]…

      5. …oh, by the way, when I say “execute” I’m referring to the kind that happens after a trial & conviction [and unsuccessful appeal all the way up to the U. S. Supreme Court] for high treason…. the perfectly legal kind…..

    1. George: Raping and then killing innocent Jewish women and then dragging them through the crowds of Gaza to cheers probably hurt too. Burning entire families alive was also not a great look. Toddlers on a fire bother most people. Using water pipes given as humanitarian aid and then converting them into rockets and launching them on Israel was not smart. Neither was building a network of 400 miles of underground tunnels to facilitate terrorist attacks on Israel. Placing your terrorist headquarters in a hospital and then telling the international community that Israel is attacking our hospitals seems a bit over the top. But none of these facts seem to get in the way of a good ivy league protest. Truth has never been a virtue to the left or anti-semitic terrorists.

      1. I was Dean of a Law School with several Palestinian students [all of whom were outstanding and went on to become excellent lawyers, btw] and not a single one of them was crazy about the idea of Hamas representing them…..

      2. Unfortunately Michael, the “reasonable” Palestinians appear to be very silent when the world needs them to speak up. Hamas needs to be eliminated just like ISIS and Al Queda. They are a terrorist organization and the citizens of Gaza voted for Hamas representation. They have largely brought this disaster on themselves.
