It’s A Slow Rebuild For Eric Musselman

Eric Musselman inherited a non-roster at USC, so he needs to be aggressive taking players.

But did you expect his first commitments would be players who were All-Big Sky; All-Big West; All-Ivy League and All-Atlantic 10?

The latest is Saint Thomas, a 6-7 junior from Northern Colorado who averaged 19.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this past season.

It’ll be interesting to see how these players’ skills will translate to the Big Ten.

USC now has seven players. When does it get a big-time transfer?

  • Musselman has hired former Washington player and assistant coach Will Conroy. I also hear he is not retaining former USC player Desmon Farmer, who was part of Andy Enfield’s coaching staff.

It sounds like Jen Cohen was involved in the hiring of Conroy, since he has been at Washington since 2015 and also played there from 2001-05.

  1. So your parents name you “Saint Thomas.” That one must have been difficult to live up to. In Chick Hearn lingo “Saint Thomas throws up a prayer with two seconds left and its goooood!”

  2. Not too shabby a First-Week, Muzzleman, bringing back SC basketball from the brink, and I recall Desmond Farmer beating Yucla at Pauley Pavilion one year, I remember it because it didn’t happen very often

      1. Because breaking into HER home is worse than assault with a deadly weapon or raping a woman. Come on, it makes all the sense in the world!
