Big Pickup For USC Women’s Basketball

Stanford forward Kiki Iriafen has committed to USC, a significant addition that makes the Trojans a favorite for the national title.

Iriafen, who is 6-3, led the Cardinal in scoring (19.4 points), field-goal percentage (55 percent) and was second in rebounding (11.0). That’s pretty good when you consider she was teammates with Cameron Brink. She might be the No. 1 pick in next year’s WNBA draft.

    1. Funny, George Tirebiter, I was reading that script ”The best of life is yet to be” only yesterday, and I like your optimism more than The Bard of Avon aka ‘Shakespeare who penned, “Golden lads and girls all must, As chimney-sweepers, come to dust”

    1. I guess when the president of the university and the board of regents and the dean of the law school talk crazy talk every day the shit eventually hits the fan…..and, when it does, they feel the need to hide & hope the trouble they’ve caused blows over without them taking anything but empty, symbolic actions….

On another unpleasant note, I watched Oregon’s Spring Game — they’re playing physical, fast football on both sides of the ball. The difference between their spring game and our spring “game” [skill-wise, discipline-wise and attendance-wise] was illustrative of how far our program has deteriorated.

  2. Strange how a really good Stanford player would transfer out of a Northern California mecca in the twilight of her college career unless she thought she’d have a better shot at the Title at SC
