USC Morning Buzz: Who Is MVP?

I’ve been going through USC’s roster and wondering who would be the Trojans’ MVP?

It was an easy question the past 2 seasons: Caleb Williams.

But now there are multiple candidates, especially with the quarterback position not completely settled.

It’s not like there is a marquee tailback, or All-American wide receiver or even a Butkus Award caliber linebacker. One of the better known players, Bear Alexander, didn’t even participate in all of spring drills.

Is it Zacariah Branch? His special teams plays can potentially break a game open. Is it one of the transfers that hasn’t played a down for USC yet?

Maybe it will be Miller Moss when all is said and done. But right now, the title of team MVP is up for grabs.

  1. By the way, speculation is for ‘tomorrow’ because at present it is all about the campus fighting

    1. Maybe it’s best to answer that question in the words of Carol Folt, Plow Horse:

“We had a meeting…. and we exchanged ideas…. and I think that’s meaningful ….and I hope we continue doing that…. [theatrical wave of the arm… looking not unlike something out of The Snow Queen] …because I am so appreciative of keeping the campus …[drifts off due to lack of vocabulary]…….”

  2. If the defense has a 180 turnaround and helps get USC to the college football playoff my MVP would be new DC D’Anton Lynn.
