USC Morning Buzz: Recruit Sets Commitment Date

Four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail of Bonita High School in La Verne will announce his commitment on June 30. He has scheduled official visits to USC, Oregon and Texas A&M.

  • Former USC signee Trent Perry will instead go to UCLA. Perry didn’t really consider USC once Andy Enfield left event though he plays a position (point guard) that USC needs.
  • The NCAA approved a blanket waiver to allow schools an unlimited number of official visits in men’s and women’s basketball, effective immediately. The move was precipitated by the huge number of transfers in the sport.
  • As if there isn’t enough going on at USC, the university’s shuttle workers plan to walk off the job Friday for “repeated labor law violations.” Friday is graduation day.

The workers formed a union last year and said USC eliminated annual merit-based pay increases. They plan a rally at11 a.m. Friday at the corner of Figueroa St. and McCarthy Way.
