Morning Buzz: A Key Number For USC

Here’s a key number for USC: 10.

That is the number of interceptions thrown by quarterback Caleb Williams the past two seasons. He threw five in 2022 and five in 2023. And last season, three of those came in the Notre Dame game, which means he threw 2 interceptions in the other 11 games he played.

Whether the quarterback is Miller Moss or Jayden Maiava, will they be able to throw only five interceptions this season?

I’d say that is unlikely.

  • Can you imagine back when USC played basketball games at the Shrine Auditorium in the 1950’s if someone had told Coach Forrest Twogood, “There are protestors blocking the entrances and you might not be able to go to campus afterward because it’s closed.”

“Twogie” might have had a stroke.

And the NY Post accurately reported on the Hunter Biden laptop, the origins of the Covid virus, the dangers with the Covid vaccines, the ineffectiveness of the vaccines to stop infection, the efficacy of Ivermectin, the school and business lockout hoax, the Russian collusion hoax, the phoniness of the Steele dossier, the fraudulent FISA declaration, the connection between Hillary and the dossier, ect. How is that a gossip rag? If the NY Post was accurate on these topics and the main stream media covered them up, what do you call the mainstream media? I would take the New York Post over the NY Times with respect to accuracy in reporting.

      3. The Village Idiot said the same thing about Biden’s nearly “one lie a minute” in his CNN interview last week, merely because I posted the NY Post’s version of the story. It wasn’t as if they were the only ones who laughed at Biden’s lies, especially the one about inflation being at 9% when he took office!

  5. My brother sent his daughter to Cal Berkeley. She became a leftist. Used to love In and Out burgers. Now she is a vegan. Will not even eat cheese. Had a boyfriend in high school that she dated for years. Now in her middle thirties – no husband, no prospects, and no children. A good job but otherwise an empty life. Be careful where you send your kid to school. You would have to be nuts to send them to Columbia.

    2. Know a family that sent their kid to Cal, she came home once and starting bitching about how dad made his money, mom was this and that. Dad told her she could pay her own way when she went back to Cal since his money to her was dirty. She went back, couldn’t cut it and came home, changed her tune and went to a local college.

    No interceptions are good. However, if they throw one, you hope it won’t hurt. Most qb’s throw interceptions. It depends how the other team responds to the gift. If they score, then it is bad. If not then okay, start over.

    1. True, P. T. Interceptions hurt less when you play defense. Last year virtually every interception and lost fumble turned into a score for the other team.

      1. The added issue, the turnovers against ND happened on our side of the 50 which led to short-field TDs. If you look at only the yardage stats from the game you would believe USC won

  7. Gabby: Nothing to do with “a Vegan being too woke.” Good food is part of the celebration of life. I truly enjoy a nice steak and a glass of red wine. The Cal grad will no longer participate in our Christmas Eve prime rib family dinner. We have to figure out what she will be able to eat. (No. The cake was made with an egg.) It is a pain in the ass.

    I would not date a Vegan. They are a drag. I would consider dating a tobacco smoker who vapes even though it is unhealthy and the smell is offensive to me because you can have more fun with the smoker.

      1. Gabby: A good job is not enough. Women need a husband and kids to be complete. Virtually all studies confirm these facts. Nothing right wing about it. Women with children are much happier than single women. And women who attend church regularly and much happier than leftists who generally have no meaningful relationship with God.

As Tirebiter informed us, when things were not going well for the SC basketball team the crowd would say “Forrest, that is not too good” and I don’t believe Twogood would have had a stroke upon seeing how his SC campus had changed, he would have been the one delivering the stroke causing messages
