San Jose State wide receiver Charles Ross has committed to USC.
Ross caught 26 passes for 347 yards and one TD last season. He also went to Nevada and attended Culver City High School. He actually committed to Ohio U. back in January.
When I’ve repeatedly heard from staffers at USC this offseason that the program wants to add a wide receiver, I actually expected more but USC’s added Kyle Ford, Jay Fair (Auburn) and Ross.
Fair caught 31 passes last season, Ross 26 and Ford 22. Is that going to significantly upgrade the receiving corps?
- The USC men’s track team is ranked No. 4 and the women’s team is ranked No. 10 this week.
- It’s amazing that Bronny James is declining workouts with some NBA teams but at the same time, nothing is surprising when it comes to James.
Bronny is declining NBA workouts. He is acting as if his performance doesn’t really matter. He is right. The only thing that matters is what his father is willing to do for a team that will draft his son. Talk about “privilege.”

I really admire the way Lincoln is pretty much satisfied with our running game…but….keeps looking for new receivers…..

Bronny has limited skills such as a poor shooter so it is best that he declines NBA workouts so that his limitations are not affirmed
Meanwhile, some billionaire is preparing to visit the Titanic 2 1/2 miles down, and Dayton University is very worried that his NIL contributions to its basketball team will dry up with his possible death

A 9a.m cocktail is socially acceptable in most parts of Texas. They allow you to drink alcohol while driving as long as your headed away from the town center. When someone tried to change the law so it was illegal to have an open container, a politician stood up and said “I’m not going to tell anyone that they can’t have a few beers when driving to their hunting lodge.”

I had a job as an auctioneer in the 1970s and we traveled to Texas where if you got caught with a joint at that time you would probably be getting out of jail only now, but beer, Lone Star beer, was ok, and I bet Sark would not jeopardize his sobriety over a Lone Star

And in fact Sark has been interviewed the past couple of days stating how he looks forward to the renewed rivalries with Arkansas and Texas A&M, how he is against legislation that might eliminate ‘walk’ons’ from participating, and how Congress might eventually pass federal legislation placing limits on NIL contributions. There was no mention of Lone Star consumption
