USC Notes: Another Sign Of Apocalypse For College Sports

There is buzz on campus that USC is considering restrictions to tailgating on campus this fall, as part of security measures enacted during the spring protests.

If anything substantial is enacted, there would be a harsh blowback from fans, alumni and boosters who make being on campus a huge part of their game-day experience.

I’ve said since the protests started that I think USC secretly loves the idea of shutting down the campus to the public. The question is how much the administration thinks they can get away with?

  • The Big 12 and Conference USA are trying to sell naming rights to their conferences.

The Big 12 might become the Allstate 12 Conference. Conference USA might become the Globe Life Conference.

Isn’t college sports great?

  • Eric Musselman said this morning that point guard Desmond Claude, a transfer from Xavier, is having surgery on both elbows but should be ready for the start of the season.

    1. Well, we already have the Penn Biden Center for Global Diplomacy at the University of Pennsylvania. Paid for by a 10 million dollar donation by the CCP, a friend of Crooked Joe. And Joe was given a $900,000 “no show” job as a professor paid for by the CCP donation. The Sopranos could learn something from the Bidens.

      2. Cowardly Gabby: The above statement about the Penn Biden Center is true. It provides additional facts on how Joe Biden sold out his country to the Chinese. Mr. Biden is a traitor to his country. You can’t dispute the charge. So what is your response? If your concerned about the President being bribed by Communist China then “Biden is living rent free in your head.” This is moronic. Should we be concerned about an open border? Thousands of terrorist entering the country? Mexican cartel controlling the border, earning billions of dollars and establishing strongholds within the U.S. Human trafficking? Fentanyl importation and a 100,000 overdoses per year? A spike in diseases including tuberculosis? Or are these things just living in our heads and we should be mocked for mentioning them.
