After Day 1 at the Elite 11 QB showcase at Mira Costa High School, USC commit Julian Lewis is ranked No. 5.

I just assumed he would be No. 1 by a mile after the endless publicity over his recruitment. I’m being sarcastic, of course.

These rankings aren’t exactly scientific, anyways.

  6. The homeless guy who was killed on USC row has only been in LA (from Texas) since March and already had FOUR arrests here! Who knows how many before he came to CA.

And what was the kid doing with a knife on the Row– so tragic how a Hispanic teen being the first in his family to go to college, loved playing all kinds of musical instruments, and instead of using his fists to beat up this thief and walking away free now is facing a $2 million bail and life in prison

  8. Yeah, whatever happened to that old-fashioned mano-a-mono stuff where the only weapon you use in a fight is your fists? Hard to kill a man with your fists. Besides, guns and knives are boring the fight is over too quickly, better a fistfight, more ‘engaging,’ and the winner is normally not a killer

    It seems lately that SC has lost the top tier recruits and are settling for second tier. This will have an impact on the play of the team, it final record for the season, and the bowl game. This is due to Riley being soft and Folt the Dolt being the president of SC. To rectify this, SC will have to play a power and fast game on offense and stiflying defense. we will see.
