USC Notes: Southern California Exodus Continues

Mater Dei High School running back Jordan Davison committed to Oregon. His other finalists were Ohio State, Alabama and Michigan. For whatever reason, USC doesn’t have much of a presence at Mater Dei these days.

  • Dijon Lee, a cornerback at Mission Viejo, committed to Alabama. He was the top uncommitted player in California.
  • Former USC cornerback Ceyair Wright committed to Nebraska. The good part of this is Wright will be pretty far from Hollywood.
  • Carol Folt hired Erika Jordan as associate senior vice president of alumni relations. This is an important/difficult job. Remember, Folt removed Patrick Auerbach, who was a fixture at USC.

Jordan’s first big test will occur if the rumors are true that on-campus tailgating will be prohibited.

      3. There was a 6 week trial. Loads of legal commentary everyday for months. And Goober still thinks Trump was convicted of solicitation – paying a hooker for sex. How many times has he said “he should have kept it in his pants.” What an idiot. He posts everyday about 34 felonies and has no idea of what Trump was convicted of.

      6. Right Goober: You didn’t say “HE WAS GUILTY OF PAYING FOR PUSSY….” You said “SO THAT PIECE OF PUSSY COST HIM 130K……HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT” in the context of a discussion on his criminal conviction in New York. It is clear you still don’t understand the charges that were filed against him and the verdict of the court.

Do you ever read what you write down before hitting the comment button? No wonder you were a poor student.

      3. They are more accurately called “contingent electors” Goober. It is the model recommended by the liberal judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg in the Gore vs. Bush case. One of the issues in that case is that Florida was asked by the Dems on four different occasions to re-count the ballots and finally the Secretary of State said no more recounts because there was a deadline in the middle of December to certify electors to send to Washington before the January 6th certification of the election. Ginsberg said in her dissent that Florida should have appointed “contingent electors” and continued to count the votes and/or appeal the vote counts up until January 6th so that in the event it was determined that Gore actually won after the state imposed deadline they could present the alternate electors to Congress on January 6th in lieu of the original electors. According to Ginsberg, alternate electors were required to allow Florida to fully exhaust the vote recounts and voting appeals post deadline. Otherwise, they would have no remedy once the state deadline expired. Nothing wrong with contingent electors.

      5. Obama’s statement is so blatantly dishonest it is sickening. “Trump only cares about himself and the rich. Joe cares about ordinary people. ” Trump was a multibillionaire before seeking public office. He didn’t go into public service for the money. Obama is now worth hundreds of millions. He owns 4 homes – Washington DC, Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, and Hawaii. His real estate alone is worth in excess of 30 million. He owned very little before public service. Same with Biden. 30 million in graft from Russia, China, and Ukraine filtered through 17 shell corporations to his son and brother with kickbacks going to “the big guy.” He lets in 18 million unvetted illegals who stay in hotels, get EBT cards, free medical care, free education, and otherwise take resources away from “ordinary people.”

  2. Dijon Lee is very good. Five star. Some say best local cornerback in years. This is the type of Southern California player we need to lock down. Did not seem interested in USC. If you have to blame someone, Donte Williams comes to mind. Domani Jackson help recruit him to Alabama.

Obsess: preoccupy or fill the mind of (someone) continually, intrusively, and to a troubling extent.

Stalk: 1. pursue or approach stealthily. 2. harass or persecute (someone) with unwanted and obsessive attention.

Take your own advice, you sound like a hypocrite; “but several people have suggested So Cal seek psychiatric help!! He is in some serious denial.”

So farcthe most impactful verdict by the Supreme Court was overturning the unekected federal regulatory deep state minions and their star chamber deliberations….the full throttle power push they planned on ramming down the nation’s throat per their pagan ‘climate change’ religion has been thwarted.

We shall all await what ‘Reichstag fire’ they concocting to prevent Biden losing the White House.

Does SC have to pass a law to keep these kids at home

  5. I don’t think these California players fully appreciate the lifestyle difference between Los Angeles and places like Alabama, Texas, Ohio, and Georgia. The summers in these places are absolutely miserable. And the winters in the mid west are brutal too. You looking at 8 to 10 weeks of nice weather per year. That’s why you can still buy a nice home for $300,000.

    1. When I lived in California, my next-door neighbor’s son went to a college in Wisconsin on a golf scholarship. He lasted a year and a half. Moved back home because he said it was too cold to go outside in the winter and too hot/humid to go outside in the summer. He also said the bugs were huge.

  6. Nice to see SC’s Boogie might get picked up by an NBA team and Collier has been called “the steal” of the draft.

Both came on spectacularly for Troy in the last third of the season

  7. Since no team other than the Lakers would draft ‘Brawnie’ why waste the 57th pick on him, instead he goes undrafted and the Lake then ‘informally’ drafts him with a spot on the team

  9. Southern California’s climate is world renown but these talented high schoolers all think they are NFL-material and want to prepare for the pros at the best football schools of ‘Alleybama, Gorgeous and Oregano’ where they know the weather is brutal but it creates a toughness (for the ‘survivors’)

  10. -Not to mention that ‘being a scholarship athlete will soon be paying at the rate of $30,000 to $60,000 guaranteed plus any NIL money they can muster. The primary problem is how will the colleges divvy up these funds, will all 500+ athletes at SC be paid something whether it be tennis or football, and how much!

  11. Kind of misspoke there, the $30,000 to $60,000 is the range if everybody was paid equally which won’t happen

  12. Getting paid to do a college sport, where do I sign, except in football I’m not tough enough, can’t jump in basketball, too slow a pitcher in baseball, an ok slacker in tennis, quit golf when I once broke 90–that doesn’t sound like SC-material

  13. Some say that the Portal and NIL have ruined college football but I bet these upcoming 12-Team Championship rounds will have t.v. ratings through the roof. However, at its roots the Pac-12 destruction took some of the air out of a few people, and games won’t have the same feel when rooting for ‘Carpetbagger’ football players
