USC Morning Buzz: Time For A Donation

Don’t think for a second USC won’t try to get a donation from Caleb Williams now that he has $25.5 million signing bonus.

It’s actually important because there’s been some donors turned off by efforts to get them to contribute for the new football facility. This project is going to be a test of Jen Cohen’s fundraising abilities, which apparently were not great at Washington.

  • Angel City Football Club announced it entered into a definitive agreement with Willow Bay (Dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism) and Bob Iger (CEO of the Walt Disney Company), which will make Bay and Iger the new controlling owners of the team.
  • NWSL league rules warrant that a controlling team owner must own at least 35 percent of a team, which would mean Bay and Iger would have had to invest at least $87.5 million in the deal. Of that money, at least $50 million will be used to support the club’s future growth.
  • Everyone wants to make fun of Bronny but look at Alex Sarr’s stat line last night:

0 Points

0-15 FG

0-7 3PT

0-2 FT

3 Turnovers

Remember, he refused to work out for the Atlanta Hawks, who had the No. 1 pick. So he went to the Wizards with the No. 2 pick.

  1. My son and I played the new EA video game that Scottie has been writing about. Not all the Trojan players are in the game yet (the Mississippi St. RB transfer is missing), and USC isn’t great (I won’t tell you how badly we lost to Georgia), but we did manage to beat the gutties 36-0.

    1. I’ll take that result, ’67 —- [but there’s always the possibility our guys will play above their heads the way they did in Caleb’s first year]….

  2. Scott….the quality of content you are posting is at an all-time low, I am being generous with my words. Perhaps the time has come to shut down your third-rate blog, I am serious.

Work on improving your mental health and find some activities that might bring joy to your empty life. There is a life out there beyond this $hit show, go seek it out, it’s never too late.

The run was great, but everything has a shelf life and yours has expired

    FIGHT ON!

    1. gabbby aka waste of time,

who are you speaking for? Maybe it is the chicken that is in your pocket that you are speaking for. I happen to enjoy Scott’s blog. The only problem is, that you have not reverted to your former job, and that is being a prisioner in San Quentin. Do us a favor and leave and never return. You are not wanted here. Cee ya, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

      1. With the mentality of a slug, I see why you enjoy Scott’s blog. Can we get a racist quote from you to start the day rolling? Also, thank goodness you’re not boring us with your old-school football comments

PS…..the icicle hanging off the chin is a dead giveaway. Try to be more discreet…….just saying.

      4. Michael, what do you expect from a mentally deficient loser who claims people “took the bait” at least 3-4 times a day?

Translation of “taking the bait”=”Waaaah! I’m a child and want to throw a tantrum without anyone saying anything!! Waaaahhh!! Why? Because I can dish it out, but can’t take it when someone gives it back! Waaaahhhh!!”

Here comes a childish copy & paste job, because she rarely has an original thought.

      5. I knew it was coming…..the mental midget had to jump in with more buffoonery because the narcissism in him felt left out.

He lacks the mental capacity to refrain from taking the bait but wants to call someone else childish for their behavior….laughing my a** off

The truly pathetic part, it’s a grown man who continues to touch the hot stove…..an act consistent with a little kid……the freak is about as dumb as they come.

He claims to be a real man but allows Gabby to slap him around like a pinata……sounds more like a pu**y boy

he’ll respond back with another round of stupidity……wait for it 3-2-1

  3. Don’t see anything wrong with asking Caleb Williams for a substantial donation. He greatly benefitted from his time at USC under Lincoln Riley. He should donate. In fact, most of the former scholarship athletes should be donating to their universities. It’s called giving back.

    2. And if we threw Gabby on top of the 100 ton pile, we would have 100 tons, 150 pounds. He really illustrates the concept of “sh*t for brains” with each post.

  4. Very few people in Los Angeles give a rip about women soccer. I bet Willow Bay and Bob Iger rarely if ever attend the games of the Angel City Football Club. Yet they contribute 87.5 million to the team for a 35% share. Its a wasted investment. Much like the UCLA football program, the team will never garner large crowds or show an impressive profit. Nobody really disputes that fact. So what’s the angle? The right to tell your woke friends that you support women sports and own a women soccer team? Wow, how stylish. Why can’t USC make a trade with Oregon. We give them the Iger/Bay billionaires for Phil Knight. Oregon is treated to the leftist and trans friendly teachings of Ms. Bay and Disney while we get the NIL contributions of Mr. Knight.
