USC Sunday Buzz: Who Looks Good?

A USC coach told me Saturday night the QB’s have been a bright spot the first two days.

But that’s expected when you are practicing in shorts the first few practices.

Once USC wears pads, the running backs, linemen and other positions will get more opportunities to flash.

That’s why you should take a lot with a grain of salt right now. Everyone is bigger, stronger and faster at this time of the year. But you never know anything until the actual games.

Note: I asked the coach if this means USC won’t miss Caleb Williams? No response.

OLYMPIC MEMORY OF THE DAY

You know what makes this anchor leg of Femke Bol even more impressive? If she were an American star, she wouldn’t even consider running a relay before her individual event at the Olympics.

But Bol puts running for her country first. She ran the relay the day before her actual event — the 400-meter hurdles — started its qualifying heats. No American star even considered that. Track is an individual sport but Bol is a team player too.

  1. -But nothing compares to how in the women’s relay a runner came from way behind the frontrunner to pull it off, much like racehorse Silky Sullivan

  2. I don’t know, a Blog is not about the Blogger so much as the people who post on the Blog, and as with anything the worth is what you put into it

  3. So let me try it this way since the subject of ‘Celeb’ was raised, yes-and-no he will be missed. The magic he brought to that SC turnaround 2022 Season was a thing to remember, but in 2023 some of his leadership and good sense qualities were exposed as still evolving
