It looks like the running back competition has started to take shape: Transfer Woody Marks will start, as expected. Freshman Quenten Joyner is the backup tailback.
Two other freshmen — A’Marion Peterson and Bryan Jackson — could also contribute but let’s face it, under Riley, it’s really two tailbacks who get the reps and everyone else takes a back seat.
So it will be Marks and then Joyner, unless someone can surpass him on the depth chart. But it’s really spin when Riley says that the other backs can also make significant contributions.
- The salty relationship between Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban is featured in a new book titled, “The Price: What It Takes to Win In College Football’s Era of Chaos,” by veteran journalists Armen Keteyian and John Talty.
The book said Kiffin told Saban that “he didn’t know what he was talking about” in a coaches’ meeting. That caused an irate Saban to call agent Jimmy Sexton, who represnets both men and recommended Saban hire Kiffin.
“That son of a bitch. I’m going to fire you, Jimmy, for ever talking me into hiring that narcissistic p—k,” Saban reportedly said.
- I’m told USC’s administation is not allowing student media photographers to attend this morning’s new student convocation at the Coliseum. Apparently, they fear pictures if any protests take place. This is after they moved the event to the Coliseum so they could control who attends.
But now the student photographers will be outside the stadium, where there is a better chance of a protest taking place. Typical USC logic.
- Did you catch DJ Mal-Ski performing last night with Stevie Wonder in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention?
I heard he had a gig Friday night at USC at the swimming pool but it got canceled because a renovation has taken longer than expected. But he will be at the first USC football home game on Sept. 7.
Hello Fired my old friend.

What is Traitor Stevie Wonder doing in America? He denounced America and became a citizen of Ghana on May 14th 2024 to escape the evil US that has oppressed him all these many years to the tune of $200 million. Stevie, being a Good Democrat who says he cares for the downtrodden, should put his money where his big mouth is and give away his $200 million fortune to the poor people of his newly adopted country since, according to Moochelle Obama, he “has enough.”

Gabby,
Don’t you mean Micheal Obama. Is he the pitcher or catcher for his husband, Barrack?

Last night, Moochelle Obama said that Americans don’t deserve the right to decide who enters their country. She says this while she lives in a gated community. A community that bussed out the illegal immigrants that were flown in there within 6 hours of their arrival.

Scooter,
When is SC ever going to learn that they don’t need a dj at the football game? That dude is too annoying. Let the marching band play instead of him. Now, as far as I am concerned, he is a traitor. Get rid of him.

That DJ should stay in Chicago permanently. We have college football’s greatest, the USC Marching Band, and we don’t need anything else. Play Tusk!

Gabby,
That dj has been there for 10 years at the baskeball games. he is a broken record by doing the same thing and playing the same thing. I requested some songs and he did not play them but he played his usual crap.
