The USC Friday Column Supplement

When you are having trouble selling tickets in Orange County, that’s never a good sign.

      1. You guys are too pessimistic. We can get 10 wins. First, the two best teams in the BIG are Oregon and Ohio State and we don’t play them. LSU and Michigan to start the season will be tough games but both teams have their weaknesses. New coordinators and quarterbacks. These are winnable games. We will be underdogs to Notre Dame and Penn State but play both teams at home. Again, these are tough but winnable games. We will be favored in all the other matchups. If we play like we did in the Holiday bowl, we will be competitive.

      2. Hope you’re right and I’m wrong, Plow Horse.

Pretty funny that the Spirit Kickoff was cancelled, considering this email sent on August 14:

Food and drink, spirit and music, and a stunning sunset await you at the OC Trojans Spirit Kickoff on Aug. 25 in Newport Coast.

A limited amount of tickets are still available for this great event and ALL proceeds go toward The Spirit of Troy’s Travel Fund for travel to Big Ten games.

  1. Gameday is live from Dublin, Ireland right now! Light schedule today, but it’s officially here!! We made it.

Knucklehead can knock Scott all she wants to, but the Wolfman got us through the lull. Thanks, Scott!!

  2. Cowardly Gabby needs treatment for her paranoid schizophrenia condition. It is a fairly common (and can be severe) mental illness: about 0.32% of the population suffers from it. [Let’s see. There were 331 million Americans in the 2020 Census. I don’t believe they diagnose it (for sure) until one’s late teenage years, so let’s apply it to those Americans and Traitors like Cowardly Gabby 18 and over. Google says that 258 million Americans are 18 years old & older: 258 million x 0.0032 = 825,600 people adults who suffer from paranoid schizophrenia, just like Cowardly Gabby.

  3. Many times the ‘anticipation of a game is better than the game itself, but it seems likely that SC-LSU will be enteraining, win or lose

  4. This comment got lost in the dungeon of the previous thread–

MG is like a giant rogue wave suddenly appearing on a placid sea, but no reasonable person ever took the anti-MG comments seriously

  5. LSU has 2 offensive tackles that will be playing in the NFL next season, one of whom may be the No 1 pick he’s that good, and so I presume the Tigers’ plan is to plaster the SC defensive front
