Miller Moss Issues Statement On TMZ Report

USC QB Miller Moss released a statement today regarding a story by TMZ about a dispute with former roommate, ex-quarterback Mo Hasan.

“Two and a half years ago,” Moss said, “the University conducted an investigation related to a personal dispute between me and a roommate. I fully cooperated and took accountability for my decisions, and the matter was resolved.”

“I regret my actions and have grown and learned from this matter, and my focus is on the season ahead.”

The timing of the story is interesting and who would leak it now.

“That’s a high-quality individual there,” Lincoln Riley said after today’s practice. “That’s one guy you got to be careful about going after, because of the character of him. Everything that he does is as high as anybody that I’ve ever had.”

    1. Fortunately, no one on Planet Earth gives a flying f*u*c about this story …..or the accusations…. or the backstory….

      1. It is too bad I can’t cut and paste in Scottie’s blog, so here goes. One scout identified the LSU guy as the fourth best QB in Power 5 before the game. After the game, he said “I was so wrong about Moss. Combo of arm strength, seeing the field, hanging in against the rush, placing the ball within a tight window, he is superb.”

    1. “The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.” That isn’t a mistake. That’s bad character.

      1. Mo didn’t have the top end football career:

That said, I don’t think it was Mo who leaked this to TMZ. Mo is now 26 or 27, and is trying to carve out a career for himself in LA, and he has a good relationship with USC. More likely some lowlife hanger on who happened to be in the dorm a couple of years ago when this was happening and who was paid a couple of thousand by TMZ for the story.

      3. Btw, nobody in the Italian Mafia [or any criminal organization] would offer anybody “$250,000 to $300,000” to throw a game. Why even mention $250,000 if you’re also putting $300,000 on the table?

      4. media No one is talking about USC covering up this scandal. If USC had been transparent when it happened it would be no big deal now that Moss is a Heisman Trophy candidate and potential first round draft pick and has the microscope on him now.

I thought Gabby said a few days back that he was going to the USC marching band pep rally today at the Palms at 2:00 and wanted to “meet up” with Scott. Instead, he spent the day trolling the blog. Once again a threat followed by a no show. That’s our Cowardly Gabby. All talk, no walk.

  1. Just as with the kid who planted peanuts to make an allergic teammate get sick, it sounds as if Moss as an immature 18 year-old freshman inappropriately messed with a roommate for which Moss apologized, and that should be it
