Morning Buzz: USC Finds New Way To Mark Game

If you bet on the USC-Michigan game in the preseason, the Wolverines were an 8.5-point favorite.

The line opened this week with USC a 6.5-point favorite. That’s a 15-point swing!

  • It used to be simple when USC played someone. You got a button like these below.

Yes, there is also a Beat Rutgers available.

But now, USC has a new way to go make some money. The game lapel pin!

The Michigan pin is intricate and makes a nice keepsake — if you win the game.

Did they make one for the Utah State game?

  • The USC defense will be healthy on Saturday as linebackers Mason Cobb and Eric Gentry along with safety Jaylin Smith all practiced this week and are ready to play.

  1. Surprised that the line didn’t move up for SC with the insertion of an untested Michigan quarterback (of course the “tested” one wasn’t too good)

    1. As long as Trump wins, we’ll have a choice, Ed.

If Kamunism wins, we may not. We may have to purchase those, along with pins that declare our allegiance to our Supreme Leader.

  2. Michigan has had some struggles out of the gate this year. That’s not going to make it any easier to achieve a victory. The Big House will be louder than anyone will be expecting, even if you’ve been there before. Nobody has as big of a target on them as USC this season. Lots of people would love to brag and claim that we don’t belong in this league. I expect every player who will have a Michigan uniform on will be flying around ready to stick it to anyone in a Trojan uniform. This is going to be a physical game no matter what the score is. Let’s keep our focus and keep playing hard and don’t go soft if we’re up big or down big. There’s 4 quarters to play and at the end of that there’s usually one team that wants to play another quarter and the other team that doesn’t. Let’s be the team that wants to play more!!!

  3. USC will score often and fast – MI is a shell of what they were last year. Harbaugh did them no favor delaying his decision to depart for the NFL and then the promotion of Sherrone Moore from OC to head coach. The choice of Warren over Orji then reverting back to Orji. MI is in turmoil and all know it as TX crushed them 2 weeks ago (7th Sept.) at home. MI Stadium was rocking then with a lot more hope than they’ll show this Saturday….what Wolverine fans will be exhibiting those twin moons of Mars ‘Phobos’ and ‘Diemos’ i.e. ‘fear’ and ‘panic’.

I expect a, as do the Vegas bookmakers, a solid win by USC which is why they are now a 16.5 swing from mid-August to Mid-September.

    1. 6’2″, 210 lbs, 10.36 100 meters as a soph, and rated 5 star by some services. Beat out Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, and his home state program Utah. Great combo of speed and size, still growing.

      1. Just a heads up about Utah kids.

Utah has very limited talent to play against, this kid may be very good but the talent there leaves a lot to be desired.

The school he goes to is the new ” IT ” school in Utah, parents will do anything to get their kids in the ” IT ” school in Utah. Corner Canyon and Lone Peak are the ” new ” football powers, it used to be Bingham and Alta.

I know his coach, he coached both my kids in track when he was at another school in Utah, he has a great offensive mind.

    1. Buddha: Daylon McCutheon, a 5 star receiver who committed to Florida State, appears to be ripe for a flip if USC has room for him. USC was second to Florida St. when he committed. If this happens, some USC receivers will likely de-commit.
