Reggie Bush Is Suing USC?

Reggie Bush has filed a lawsuit against USC, the Pac-12 and NCAA seeking compensation for his name, image and likeness while he played for the Trojans. 

“This case is not just about seeking justice for Reggie Bush,” said Evan Selik, who is Bush’s lawyer. “It’s about settings a precedent for the fair treatment of all college athletes. Our goal is to rectify this injustice and pave the way for a system where athletes are rightfully recognized, compensated and treated fairly or their contributions.” 

REACTION: I have sympathy for athletes of the past on this issue but not for Bush.

USC has literally done nothing but suck up to him the past two years and wants him to lead the team out of the tunnel at a game this season. And he’s suing USC?

This is the same person who refused to speak to the NCAA, which led to USC players to suffer a bowl ban when the Trojans were placed on probation.

USC put Bush’s jersey in the peristyle this season, is displaying his Heisman Trophy at Heritage Hall and treating him like a demi-god. In return, he is suing them. Fight On!

    These institutions have profited off the backs of these athletes for many decades.

    2. Cowardly Gabby lies again. Reggie Bush only thinks about himself and let Matt Barkley and the rest of the Trojan players and community pay the price for his greed. He knew what the rules were in 2004 and made the deal with the 2 sports agents to get a free $750,000 ho for his parents and a car and bling for himself. His parents traveled in style to every away game with the coin from the agents. Now he sues USC, which had nothing to do with his dirty deal. His oversized jersey should be burned at halftime of the Wisconsin game this Saturday in the Coliseum.

  9. This Bush lawsuit is all for Reggie, no one else. The fact it might set a precedent to help other past college footballers with reparations is not his primary concern. Much as he did in his playing career, he might want to take this one back

  11. Besides, reparations might be appropriate for Black slaves’ families and Indian tribe members who were wrongfully disenfranchised, but past college footballers did receive compensation in the form of an expensive SC scholarship
