Lincoln Riley Again Chooses Not To Commit To Notre Dame Rivalry

Lincoln Riley was asked about the future schedule today and once again, refused to commit to the Notre Dame rivalry.

“So hopefully, like any decisions you have to make, hopefully ones can fall in line where we can maintain all of our traditions and all of the things here and also do the best for USC football.

“And if we get to a point where we have to make a decision one way or another because those things don’t necessarily coexist, then we’ll make the best decision we can.”

REACTION: Here’s the thing about the 12-team College Football Playoff. Right now, there are many teams — including USC — who have lost games and are in contention for a spot in the playoffs. There are around 20 teams in contention right now plus Group of 5 schools.

Is Riley so lame that he can’t make a playoff if he plays Notre Dame? Who is Notre Dame, by the way? He gets his two cupcakes next season plus the Irish in 2025.

What is he really saying is he doesn’t know how much he should worry about the Big Ten. The one thing you can say for sure: He doesn’t like to compete.

Remember, Pete Carroll used to say, “Always Compete.”

Good question – they’re the rigged deck that never wants to join a conference….never plays a CCG….only began playing bowl games in 1970 because the scratch was so huge….the con job that annually gets put in the top 10 no matter what esp their rigged schedule of ‘…the walking dead…’ opponents. This year is the biggest farce.

    Riley is a fool to say that – keep this prima donna and watch further decline if he hasn’t the stones to take on ‘the princess. PC dominated them

  6. It is amazing that Lincoln Riley, who will not be at USC let alone coaching any team for that matter, is trying to weasel his way out of playing the Fighting Irish.

    He can go to hell. I’d rather have a washed up Pete Carroll than this coward. . .as long as D’Anton Lynn coaches the defense.

    I doubt he gets to choose all the games.

    I would think AD’s do the scheduling,although he gets to have an opinion.

  13. SC-Notre Dame has enriched our sports lives as we can recall some games like they happened yesterday such as 1964 with an average SC team ousting ND from #1 or 1974’s 55-24

    ND is a Pagan school that worships at the Obuma alter, Planned Parenthood alter, and self pride alter. They are nothing but a paper tiger in terms of the Catholic faith. May the thunder come from the sky and tear into nd’s heart and destroy their football stadium.
