Fox football analyst Joel Klatt has offered some views on the USC-Penn State game.
“USC’s in a bit of trouble right now. They’ve got to clean up the turnovers. Another three against Minnesota. That’s eight over the last three games,” Klatt said.
“This game against Penn State is a matchup that I don’t love for them. Penn State is going to run the ball and they’re going to do it with reckless abandon.
“Nobody in college football over the last three years has sacked the quarterback more than the Penn State Nittany Lions.”

Again, I believe Lincoln Riley is in over his head. Has he ever won a college football championship? Because he has coached Heisman Trophy winners does that prove he is capable of winning a championship? Does he instill player pride where they take it personal that they perform to the best of their ability? I don’t see it. Based on what I’ve seen I don’t have confidence that he’s the right coach to get it done.

Agreed but the better question is, and the statement I made when he was hired. Has he ever built a program…ever. No, he was hired as OC in an already elite program. Then was left a program at its peak with stoops retirement. If you check the trajectory post stoops it was on a gradual decline from the point that stoops left tell the time Riley left. To expect Riley would rebuild this program would just be a pure guess. I’m not banking 113 million dollars on a pure guess.
