Loyal Alumnus Donates $50 Million To Football Center

Carol Folt’s “special announcement” today was that long-time donor Ronald H. Bloom has donated $50 million to the new football building.

On the one hand, it’s great to get a $50 million gift.

On the other hand, it shows USC doesn’t really have new donors it can go to for athletic donations.

Bloom, 91, and his family already donated for the Bloom Family Tunnel, which is tunnel 6 at the Coliseum; the Bloom seating section located at center court in the Galen Center; the Bloom Family Study Room in the basement of Heritage Hall; the Bloom Walk, a walkway that runs from the Ethel Percy Andrus Gerontology Center on the southwest of campus to Mudd Hall of Philosophy and the Bloom Walk of Fame, the name of the street adjoining the John McKay Center.

Bloom also donated the statue of George Tirebiter on campus.

USC says it has now raised $157 million of the $200 million required for the football center.

    1. Well, Folt and Cohen have now raised 157 million of the necessary 200 million. Not bad when it comes to fund raising. Perhaps Jen and Carol will celebrate tonight with a Mexican dinner. Taco Lita anyone? The bean and cheese burrito is special. Their saving a spot for you PT.

  1. His $$$ would be better spent paying off Riley, but he probably would rather have a named football facility than the “Ronald H. Bloom Buyout Fund for Failed USC Coaches”.

      1. No reason they shouldn’t, Plow Horse. The people calling Trump a felon claim that juries always get it right and OJ’s jury said Not Guilty! So he’s in heaven, looking down and being grateful to them for getting it right!

    1. The last two comments by Cowardly Gabby show why Scott reluctantly went to a censor and blog participation plummeted by 80%. People with narcissistic personality disorder, a mental disease, tend to ruin everything they touch.

      1. Anyone with a functioning brain knows all of those cases were politically motivated. They wanted to be able to call him a convicted felon throughout the campaign and they knew their brainless minions would do the same. We saw it here! LOL

KJP & Biden refusing to answer for their ridiculous fear mongering about what an “existential threat” they claimed Trump would be. They knew that wasn’t true, but made the false claims thinking it would help Kamala. They are sc um.
