USC will wear uniforms similar to those worn for several decades beginning in the 1970’s when it plays Nebraska on Saturday.
The famous three-stripe jerseys haven’t been worn since the 2001 season.
Now I’ve heard from some alumni today that the jerseys aren’t quite the same because the stripes are higher up the sleeve in the throwbacks.
But that’s a concession to the modern look, I suppose.

Scooter,
I remember the 1972 and 1974 teams wearing the stripes on the sleeves and they won national championships. Too bad the 2024 team won’t. Blame Soft Riley for that.

The jersey is literally almost the same thing as today. But I certainly appreciate the respect for tradition that USC had for its uniforms. No gimmicks here !
