Another USC Commit Bites The Dust

Shamar Arnoux, a four-star cornerback from Carrollton, Ga., flipped his commitment from USC to Auburn.

This is no surprise since he is a high school teammate of quarterback JuJu Lewis.

The Southern recruiting drain is in full swing.

The fanboys are now blaming everything on NIL (again).

“We’re going to stay steady, stay the course,” Lincoln Riley said today. “We know the kind of players and people we want to bring in here, and that’s what we’re going to keep doing.”

He is starting to sound like Kevin Bacon in Animal House.

  1. Riley can’t recruit, develop players, have a competent game plan, understand USC’s rich football tradition or mingle with students, alums or fans, other than that………..

Riley is like a lamb going to slaughter when it comes to national recruiting- I think recruits just use him and SC as leverage to get better Nil deals elsewhere- I don’t think they ever really considered playing for this buffoon. Why would they? What gravitas does he carry. The word is out – look, we cant even get the best receivers in the country anymore, cant get the top QB’s anymore. Never mind the oft repeated cant recruit D and O line stars. It’s a f’d up situation- and what makes it worse he’s not a likeable/genuine guy. I’m sure parents of recruits look right through his charade.

  4. Shamar Arnoult and Hayden Lowe were both very good players. 4 -5 records will result in decommitments. Can’t blame them. Expect more.
