Another Tradition Bites Dust

For more than 80 years, a staple of the Crosstown Rivalry is the Trojan Knights guarding Tommy Trojan 24 hours a day.

Well, nothing is sacred these days and USC has decided the Knights must abandon Tommy Trojan at 11:30 p.m. each night this week.

Why? In typical USC fashion, no specific policy was stated as being violated. Public safety officials told the Knights they could stay out all night before it reversed the decision on Monday.

Thanks, Carol Folt. The Knights have only guarded Tommy Trojan since 1943.

This was such a tradition that in recent years, the wives of USC presidents would come and bring cookies to the Knights to help them last through the night.

No traditions are sacred.

  1. She got paid off by the Ruins, to leave Tommy vulnerable. The same way the Biden Crime Family got paid off by several of our adversaries, leaving the bad guys of the world to do as they pleased the past 4 years.
