I’m taking Notre Dame, 27-24. Why? USC has played at the same level all season and the Irish should be a competent team if they are in the conversation for the College Football Playoff.
Translation: I don’t trust Lincoln Riley. But maybe this is the week USC gets inspired and plays a great game. It has happened through the first 11 contests.

Maiva is terrible. IMHO USC maybe wins with Miller Moss an more running. Lincoln Riley came in as “the toast of the town”. Now he’s just toast. 👎🤬

Riley gets one more year just because of the new incoming President at USC. Folt is a lame duck and will not be the one to authorize the buyout (if she even has the authority to do so without trustee approval).. If he loses to Georgia Southern he’ll get tarmac’d 10 minutes after the game.

Problem is that USC had a huge deficit last year, and is tightening the belt. Buyout may be delayed.
I thought Trojans hung in for the most part against the #5 team. If holding had been called on that first TD int return, who knows, it could have been different.

Joiner had 10 carries 83 yards, team had 557 total yards, 29 first downs, so there is that. Going 0 for 3 on 4th down hurt as well, as did a lot of penalties.

USC finished 10th in the Big 10 despite playing only one of the top 5 (Penn State). Their only wins were teams below them in the standings. Can anyone say pathetic?
