The hits just keep coming. Duce Robinson is set to enter the transfer portal per Matt Zenitz.
Do you blame him?
I keep asking if the wide receivers got developed by Lincoln Riley? Robinson only caught seven more passes this season than his underutilized freshman season.
Why return to that to be part of a program that is stagnant under Riley?
So based on your recent posts, Duce, Joyner, and other players are leaving, LR can’t coach or recruit, and the AD can’t do anything about it. What are the expectations for the next 7 seasons then? 6-6 every year?
I will never again complain about the Clay Helton era.

So glad we let our tickets go after the 2020 season. The results on the field combined with the anti tailgating policies they’ve instituted on campus really have made it a total shxt show.

Huge loss- I am in shock!

If it were only us it wouldn’t be. But I’ll bet they’ve lost more over the past 4-5 years than any other similar period.

There needs to be accountability…where is Cohen? If all the WRs and RBs leave, is the 5 star QB recruit Longstreet going to flip?

This is ridiculous. It’s some 1990s level football. (Though to be fair, Helton’s last year was 4-8, so good riddance.)
I’m find it shocking to say that we need a new AD as well, someone who is [gulp] a former Trojan. NIL might suck but the portal plus profit over brand/tradition are killing this program.

You can thank Bohn for all of this. He handed a dunce a contract that USC has no intention of buying out, players are leaving in droves, Riley doesn’t want to pay NIL, he recruits like 💩💩💩
USC FOOTBALL IS DEAD

No one – you in particular – believed hiring Riley wasn’t anything but a grand slam for the program. Bohn hit one out and the end line has been a mess but this isn’t Bohn’s mess it’s Riley’s….100% his. No one believed this would be the state of USC football 3 years in – not you me or anyone else.

Nope. I didn’t think it was a grand slam. I wanted someone who had turned a program around, not someone who merely kept a good thing going.
I hoped he was going to prove me wrong, the way Pete did. But he didn’t.

Reply is to rusoviet. You are spot on. Let’s stop this phony B S of people pulling a homer into the bushes and remerging saying they weren’t stoked at the Riley hire. Truth is, had Bohn not been dismissed for undisclosed but largely woke reasons, there would be a taskmaster on hand to keep Riley on track. Things played out differently and a petulent spoiled brat has been left to his own devices, and the current state of things is the result. The way the game is changing, the direction wokeSC is headed, yeah, this is the end of Trojan football. People keep saying the status quo will be 6-6 seasons moving forward. Pipe dream shyte there. You’re looking at a 2 to 4 win team the next decade. The game will be light years away ahead by the time SC tries to do something with the program that the attempt will be futile. It’s game over for SC football.

I said from the beginning that he took over for stoops and from there the trajectory was on a gradual down hill slope. Be ware. Just like so cal is saying . He’s never built a program. I said that from day one. Perhaps you take a chance for value but not for 110m for 10. You are pairing your self into a corner for an unproven entity.

rusoviet,
With due respect, Budda did not like the hire at the very beggining. He called Riley Mule Shoes. He predicted SC would be around a .500 team. I know because I shared my opinion with budda saying Riley would do well. I told Budda i was wrong and that he is correct. Thank you.

I’m so over NIL. Hard to blame players for tossing their hat in the ring each year and see what someone is willing to pay. Especially so, if you’re on a team that’s tail spinning.
Unless you’re a top NIL program, you’re just a farm system for the other programs.

Roster turnover will be going on everywhere. The thing to watch is if USC is a Net Winner or Net Loser when all is said and done. I’m surprised that Zachariah Branch hasn’t tested the NIL waters.

LMAO, SC is $158 million in debt, the president and the AD are making too much money for what they have done, they have two buildings and a baseball field coming in, and you have Riley and his salary. You are looking at $500 million to fix stupidity. SC is sunk. Purdue is welcoming SC at the bottom feeder of the conference. HOrrible.

paw-saw-duh-naw reply noted – I must say you two must have been the very few who thought the Lincoln Riley hire was not good.
Belichick is in-bound to NC to replace Mack Brown as head coach. This was also a path Bill Walsh attempted to do after his 1st stint with the 49ers to Stanford only to find the game very different than the NFL. However FBS is now graphically the real minor league for the NFL esp with NIL and transfer portal out of control. Might work for Belichick but he hates to recruit and regardless of his pedigree that is the basis of success these days.
Riley has one year to right this ship – a new president of the university will be installed by Summer thankfully with the departure of Folt. I don’t see Mike Caruso replicating any scent of ‘woke’ with the next hire.
Seems some are finally questioning the annual ‘grift’ play by ‘the princess’ i.e. their ranking without any risk of having to play in a CCG while all the rest did.
