USC Notes: Grinch In News For Christmas

Former USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, currently at Wisconsin, has emerged as the expected hire for Central Florida’s defensive coordinator job according to Pete Thamel.

That was a pretty quick rehabilitation.

  • USC offensive tackle Mason Murphy has signed with Auburn.
  • Former USC offensive lineman Courtland Ford, who has been at Kentucky, has committed to UCLA.
  • Is USC stat-padding with JuJu Watkins by leaving her in the fourth quarter of blowouts? People are beginning to wonder.

      1. Murphy started 22 games. Would be nice to know why he left. Didn’t get along with Henson? Wanted to play guard, not tackle?

    1. This is nuts. Many USC players are in the portal – probably close to 20 at this point – and many of those are either starters or would start next season. USC needs to take the financial hit and do the buyout. Perhaps the mild NCAA violations can provide cause and they can negotiate a reasonable number. Otherwise this will be a continuing clusterf*ck

      1. Sort of agree 67 but I think the portal madness is going on at many programs even successful ones. UCLA lost their best running back and top two receivers. Marshall had to back out of a bowl game because 30 players have entered the portal and they can’t field a team.

      2. Dumbxss forgets how Biden claimed he would do so much better with COVID than Trump did, then admitted in Dec 2021 “there is no federal solution”. They don’t come any stupider than the people who thought dementia, incompetence & weakness was the way to go.

        The bad guys of the world have completely ignored the feeble old man and caused so much death & destruction. More than 500K dead thanks to the people who voted for it. But they’ll lie about being responsible for it, the same way “they” lie about driving people off a blog.
