And Another Thing Regarding Bad Decisions

USC cannot consistently win games if it has to win in spite of Lincoln Riley.

USC had scored a touchdown to cut the lead to 24-14 and stopped Texas A&M on the first drive of the fourth quarter.

The Trojans took over at their own 4-yard line. So what does Riley do? He calls a deep route down the sideline that gets intercepted at the Trojans’ 38-yard line.

What was he thinking? How about a run? How about a short pass?

That decision probably should have cost USC the game but the Aggies drive stalled and they missed a field goal.

  1. Makai Lemon was one on one with the cornerback. Don’t necessarily disagree with taking a shot. Leinart used to throw from his own endzone. But the execution was pathetic. Maiava needs to learn to throw the ball away.

On a brighter note, Lemon is an absolute baller. And the young o line blocked well although they were going against a second string A&M front.

      1. Wolf’s point was that it is stupid to throw the ball deep out of your own endzone. I disagree. Wasn’t comparing JM to Leinart. The decision to throw out of your endzone depends in part on how the defense in lined up. If Lemon is one on one with no safety help, go for it.

  2. Victory when defeat seemed inevitable totally inevitable….well fought and decisive. The year is over and the next year is fast upon us a mere 72+ hours hence. Very happy that this was the outcome especially since it was the foe TX A&M that failed to ‘…shove the knife in…’ instead having it turned on itself….

    A great victory!

    1. It was a win to get to 7-6. After the win over LSU, 7-6 is a joke especially when coach clusterphuck is responsible for most of the loses with his brain dead play calling, clock management, game management and game planning.

Well run programs and well coached DO NOT lose so many top players to the portal

Fake gabby: USC Fan would know that teams intentionally kicked away from Trojan star kick returner and WR Curtis Conway.

you stupid senile troll…..a kick returner returns kickoffs, and a punt returner returns punts…..Conway never returned a kickoff in his entire USC career.
