USC Morning Buzz: Not Every Team Is Losing Players

As USC gets ready to hire a new general manager at a salary that will probably be outlandish (amid university cutbacks), here’s an interesting stat:

Arizona State is not losing any regular starters who did not exhaust their eligibility.

Now I doubt ASU will duplicate its success next season. But I mention the returning players because it shows Kenny Dillingham is doing something right by keeping players when schools are constantly tampering and trying to poach talent.

Arizona State doesn’t have a top NIL program, especially compared to USC. But do you see players buying in to whatever Lincoln Riley is selling?

Instead, all we hear about is what USC lacks.

Look what Marcus Freeman is doing at Notre Dame.

USC’s current motto with recruits is The pLAce to be, emphasizing Los Angeles.

You think it’s easy to sell living in South Bend year round?

Freeman is thriving. The program has been improving each year with him.

What’s Riley been doing besides making excuses?

  1. It’s easy to sell South Bend when you get paid well to love there, ND isn’t poor when it comes to NIL.

I see one of the four seasons of So Cal has started, fires. When do the floods start ?

  2. The whole story was about how much you wish that you were a successful college football coach and since you don’t have the ability you will just trash those that are. It’s called insecurity.

    2. The question is, why does the cold, hard truth about the serious shortcomings of the head coach and the program itself (which demands far better) upset, trigger and make YOU so insecure, Ken?

Low standards? Please take your participation trophy and go cheer for UCLA or Fresno State. Trojans have higher standards, and we demand better.

      1. I hope the people demanding her resignation weren’t stupid enough to have voted for her. That would be as stupid as the inner city Chicago residents crying about the resources being used on illegals over the past couple of years. Most of them voted for Biden-Harris to open the borders!

Elections have consequences. Just ask the people of Ukraine, Israel & Gaza.

      2. She hates being reminded that she voted for it, too.

Only one crying is her, but she’ll lie about that the same way she lies about everything else. So pathetic.

        More excuses & lies in 3, 2, 1….

  3. So Cal, do you live in L A? You need therapy. City Council sets the budget. She can ask for cuts and if you look closer and not read the phony posts of clowns, you’ll notice that salaries of Fire Department chiefs were impacted as well as overtime for non-firefighting employees. Getting rid of homeless camps was her campaign motto and they are doing a better job than L A County in removal of camps. What’s your solution? It’s funny how you criticize but never offer solutions or sacrifice. Get help or get a life. I don’t miss the homeless camps that were removed by all those schools, did they remove your tent?
